<p>This same thing happened to me on at least two recent occasions that I can think of.&nbsp; We must have been seated right after a shift change or something and each server must have assumed that we were someone else's table.&nbsp; I didn't wait&nbsp; half an hour to speak up, though.&nbsp; </p><p>After I realized what happened I grabbed the nearest employee and asked for assistance.&nbsp; Total elapsed time: less than five minutes.&nbsp; A half hour of sitting in a restaurant without someone coming up to you is an eternity.&nbsp; She was obviously trying to make a point.&nbsp; </p><p>And they did offer her a completely free meal (not just an entree or appetizer).&nbsp; What more did she expect them to do?&nbsp; Maybe they should erect a statue of her in their crappy country store.&nbsp; She can be sitting at an empty table, ala Rosa Parks sitting at the front of the bus.</p>
