We're in the middle of a huge economic and military crisis with Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea and Iraq and President Bush is actually taking government resources away from these issues to address the safety of American interests in outer space? Oh, actually I think you're right. It was the deficit. And it has been halved, but it still is not as gone as Bush said it would be when he was running in 2004. But people thought his prediction was crazy then.

We seem to be claiming outer space as US Territory.  I just want to know where we keep these giant brass balls..?The national debt is what the say they have lowered.  But unless you slurp the stupid juice from Bushs dong, its just not true.   When they figured the debt they left out the cost of Iraq, the cost of the HealthCare Prescription drug debacle.  Thats at least a couple hundred billion.  More fuzzy math from these dishonest asses. hopefully Nov 7th we make the needed corrections.

The dow hit 12,000 because if you're a big corporation, and you fire your 50-60K making tech people, and outsource to India for 10K making tech people, your stock goes up!meanwhile, said techie is now making 18K working in retail or flipping burgers or both, trying to live in a country where the price of EVERYTHING has gone up in the past 6 years,  they have to buy shoddy crap at Wal-Mart that was made by overseas slave labor, putting more americans out of business becuse people can't afford to shop at local mom and pop places, and the downward spiral continues.The numbers are so big on the high end because the rich and powerful are making so much more money, hand over fist, that it reduces the lower and rapidly shrinking middle class to barely a blip on the radar screen.my source for this? LIFE! you see, I actually associate with the poor, I've been one of them for years (and shunned because of it) I know most people here won't dirty thier hands with the "piddly" little people who can't afford to knock back Sam Adams by the case every week, so you won't understand this stuff, but it's there, (and to circumvent the obvious response) maaaaaaan!

clinton did NOT get us out of debt. we still had a $4 trillion debt when he left. He cut the deficit, balanced the budget and cut into the debt. everyone seems to be confusing debt and deficit.
