You have previous baggage from your prior relationship. The girl
want none of that. And if you carry baggage with you, you'll seperate
or relationship will never develop due to that barrier.

Oh
yeah..........it's all about sex. You have condoms in the bag. You want
to have sex but the girl wants none of that stuff till after she gets
that ring. So she puts the baggage back where you got it from. "No Sex
for YOU!

My new girlfriend Niki and I are on a HUGE cruise ship. Like the Titanic.

Titanic? The new relationship seems to be off to a good start.

Dreams (especially recurrent ones) are usually a sign that you have some deep fear or that you're repressing during the day. So it comes out when your mind relaxes at night.

At some point in our
cruise, the boat get a huge hole and is taking on water. For some
reason, the only way to keep the boat from sinking is if it keeps
moving (hey...it's a fuckin' dream). We can't go forward and we can't
go in circles so, the boat is just taking on water.

The hole in the boat is some obvious problem in the relationship (which you are likely repressing) or just something you fear happening. I think the boat moving is you somehow trying to avoid it, like if you keep moving you'll somehow outrun it. And yet even you see how pointless that is.

They make an announcement
to take all the suitcases and put them on the top deck. Nik and I have
a total of 4 bags. I take two of them, walk through the rising water,
and bring them to the deck. I then run down to our cabin to grab the
other two bags. When I bring them up...the FIRST two bags aren't there.
Niki brought them back down to our room.

This is too easy. Baggage? Your dreams aren''t very subtle. Do I need to explain this?

She's on one side...I'm on the other.

Eventually,
the Police Boats (?) pull up along side our cruise ship and people
start to jump overboard to "safety". I do not. I'm still fucking'
with the damn luggage!

Duh. You're worried about bringing your baggage from the marriage into this relationship and losing your new girlfriend.

Too easy.

I'd tell you it might be too soon to be in another relationship, but given how worried you seem, you might be better off facing this shit now. If you let fears fester they could get worse. You have hesitation about this relationship, which is normal. I'd suggest you deal with it now rather than put it off (as the boat keeps moving faster and faster) Either talk to her about whats worrying you or have some plan in your mind for what you'll do next in a worst case scenario. Or both.

I was wondering if the luggage really is, in fact, a representation of "baggage" or if it stands for something more.

Of course I came to the obvious conclusions that you guys did. But, every once in a while, somebody will say that something in a dream is a rep for something COMPLETLEY different. Like..."if you dream about FOOD...you're worried about MONEY" or some shit like that.

EDIT:

I should also mention that I really do feel secure in this new relationship. It's a no-pressure sitch. We get along....we have fun...we connect...etc etc. Even privately, I don't feel any fear about this new thing. I don't have "that sinking feeling". At least...not knowingly.

Oh. You want one of THOSE interpretations. You ASKED for it, here it goes.

The
boat represents your sex drive/sex organs which you believe to be huge
(but in real life may be contrary--after all dreams are dreams right?),
which is in a small lake not ocean symbolizing that you percieve
yourself to be more than someone can handle (tight hole maybe?). The
act of the boat springing a leak may pertain to the act of sexual
arousal. The luggage may or may not be condoms. But the act of moving
the luggage may suggest that you like to be in control (on top) and the
act of the luggage being brought down by the alleged other may suggest
that they want to be in control. The part where you're on one side and
the person is on the other may represent that you may have some
homosexual feelings and that Niki is not a Niki but more like a NICK.
Since being gay is not socially accepted (the arrival of the police
being society as a whole), although everyone jumps to "safety" you do
not. The luggage's meaning changes at this time to the secret of your
homosexual tendencies which you don't want other people to know, so you
don't jump to safety for fear of being found out. In the end, you wind
up fucking the luggages which in turn the meaning changes to you
fucking yourself. So damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Sorry about that, but you wanted to know. Sometimes knowing isn't better, isn't it?
