Hi everyone,

My current cell phone is on the way out and I'm in the market for a new one. Furthermore, they do not allow camera equipped cell phones where I work. So when looking for a new phone I noticed that either I get a budget phone since all "cool" phones now have cameras, or I could get a smart phone like a Treo or blackberry which generally dont have cameras but do have mobile media content like the internet, email, etc.

My wife has a blackberry for work and it works ok although the web browser sucks since it doesnt have a lot of memory for displaying wab content.

So I was wondering if anyone has one of these smart cell phones (one with media content, internet, etc) and if they thought was worth it.

thanks!

I can't remember the last time I took a picture with my cell phone. I guess it's nice to have in a pinch, but if you're going somewhere you want to take pictures you're surely going to bring a decent camera. As far as "smart phones" are concerned, if you don't have any real need for them I think they're an enormous waste of money. The phones themselves (and the plans that go along with them) are much more expensive than what you'd get with a basic phone.

If you decide you really want a BlackBerry or Treo, though, read some reviews. Here's the page from CNet.
