I absolutely hate to slip into ass kissing mode, but Ron is the best interviewer I've ever heard. Yes, Ant is good at it and Howard is good at it, but I've never heard anyone hone in on a guest's interests and make them interesting like he does. He is a publicist's wet dream.
I enjoyed Mr. Dobbs' appearance on the show today. He seemed to echo many of my personal political beliefs so I'll definitely pick up his latest book.

Gonna have to agree here...when I heard that Lou Dobbs was waiting to be the next guest I had no idea what was going to happen next. Leave it to Ronnie to knock it out of the park. I doubt he even read the book, but he set Lou up for a half hour straight and had a nice give and take, and did the book a nice service.

Great job, Mr. B!

I was actually impressed by his politics. He actually had an answer to the 2 party BS we've been dealing with... register as an independent and tell them that you aren't going to vote just because they tow the line.

That was seriously the first time I've heard a political speaker say something that is an actual solution to a problem that we can do as individuals that makes perfect sense. I was really moved.

That's one of the great things about the show. The range? Cowbells being hurled one moment. Then gay jokes. Then more silliness. Then serious as hell interview with someone like Dobbs. That show was an especially wild ride.

Lou Dobbs is a very compelling guy. For those who are not familiar with him the financial markets are his forte. A big part of his agenda was touched on briefly yesterday with the boys. Politicians (right and left) , who are the puppets of big business, bog the average American down with issues like gay marriage, prayer in school, indecency, etc etc (don't misunderstand me I am not saying these issues do not need to be addressed, they are just not top priorities in the grand scope). These issues are minuscule when compared with the financial future of the middle class. The collapse of the public education system. The escalating disparity between upper and middle class. Exportation of jobs. The rising cost of medical care. The strain illegal immigration puts on our social services. The national debt. If the middle class is collapsing where do the poor fit in? Like Ronnie said these are important issue for pretty much anyone who listens to there show. Maybe a slight percentage are rich or poor but the majority of us are part of the lower, middle. or upper socio economic level of the middle class and its important to be informed. I'm not drinking the Dobbs coolaid I'll admit sometimes he has to much of a sky is falling vibe. I'll give him this, he definitely provided plenty of fodder for the mind. Ronnie did a fantastic job with the interview.

Dobbs is pretty smart and he's a good example of how ridiculous it is to call CNN a "liberal" news outlet.

It's a typical tool used by conservatives to discredit bad news about their party. They do the same thing with NPR. Anyone that listens to NPR knows how insane it is to say it has a liberal bias.

It's unfortunate that people don't think for themselves and just swallow party policies as fact. I hate to say it, but I see a lot of that with Norton on O & A. He seems to really buy a lot of the republican line, especially in regard to media bias.

I have to admit that I loved the Lou Dobbs interview. I thought Ronnie enjoyed himself and I think Lou Dobbs liked the fact that he could run 25 minutes without a break. I really liked what he had to say and was really surprised at that $2.6 billion spent on the election.
Just like 99% of this country.

The move to XM and a more open format has really shown how much of genius Ron really is.

I'm listening to this right now. Ron really is a renaissance guy, all the more impressive because he's essentially self-taught.

Im convinced that Dobbs is setting himself up to run for president as a populist independent in 2008. I think he makes sense about half the time but he sells it better than any of the current pros, except maybe Obama.

Poor Lou. His son Ronnie has got to be a disappointment

Wasn't it Lou Dobbs who got in a bit of trouble for bitching on an open mic about a Clinton speech interrupting his time slot on CNN?
