I just got sued

<p><font size="3">Well, I'm taking my first pinch.&nbsp; I got sued by my landlord for back rent today.&nbsp; It's a long story, but I'll make it real short.</font></p><p><font size="3">I was a financial consultant for a year.&nbsp; It didn't work out and I lost my job right after signing my lease for another year.&nbsp; I was unemployed for 6 months looking for a new job and sending every penny I could out of unemployment to my landlord.&nbsp; It was basically half what I owed.</font></p><p><font size="3">3 months ago my best friend's father gave me a job as a salesman for a construction hardware vendor.&nbsp; The commissions are never less than 10 grand, are often over 50 grand, but only come a few times a year.&nbsp; </font></p><p><font size="3">My landlord knows what I'm doing and said she'd be cool with it... and now I'm sued. </font></p><p><font size="3">I'm only 25, and my folks said I could move back home, but even if I do I don't know how I'm going to pay back the money I owe my landlord (plus other debts I have) in a timely manner seeing as I have no idea when I'm going to get paid.</font></p><p><font size="3">Do I leave an opportunity to make a lot of money and be my own boss to make some money fast doing something I'd hate or do I kept trying and hoping something comes through?&nbsp; (keep in mind some of these jobs have 1 year turnaround from sale to payment)</font></p><p><font size="3">I am not even looking for answers.&nbsp; I just dont' have anyone to talk to.</font></p>

You need to take care of the issue with the money owed to the landlord before it actually goes to court.&nbsp; If she sues you in housing court and wins, you're going to have an impossible time renting an apartment in the future.

<p>she's allready sued me.&nbsp; I am getting all my paperwork together tonight so I can speak with the layers on thursday.&nbsp; My boss is trying to help me any way he can.&nbsp; It's just unfortunate that he can't do it with cash.&nbsp; I won't go to court.&nbsp; I know I owe it and I will do whatever I can to resolve this.&nbsp; </p><p>I'm just so scared of everything that's happening.&nbsp; I've even started getting myself back into boxing shape to see if I can scrape a few fights together for cash.&nbsp; I'd sell drugs if I wasn't a pussy...</p><p>Life is hard.</p>

<p>I don't think they can.&nbsp; They might be able to help me get a loan, but that's another bill that needs to be paid that I cannot pay without an income.&nbsp; Sure, that's what I'll do if they'll help, but I just can't hit my truck driving dad for a big chunk of change.&nbsp; </p><p>I have today to get my records together.&nbsp; Tomorrow my boss is going to go over them all.&nbsp; Thursday we're going to go over options and speak to my parents, the layers, etc to see what I can do.</p>

<p>What's funny about all this is that I really don't think anyone's going to kill me or put me in prison, so there really isn't anything they can do that will stop me from &quot;being ok&quot; but it just really puts a left turn on my life.</p>
