I've been told today that the company I work for will be closing. So which one is better...Monster (where I already have a resume posted) or Hot Jobs? Anyone here have any luck with these two or Craigslist? Any info would be much appreciated!

I've heard good things about indeed.com.

monster / careerbuilder / hotjobs works on some levels

flipdog is a cool site for techie jobs

the nytimes.com and newsday.com are the better newspaper sites -- careebuilder & newsday tend to be the same listings

i've had a few interviews with craigslist postings at smaller companies

Monster used to be pretty good and Hot Jobs wasn't bad. Career Builder is the way to go nowadays. I'm still getting calls for a resume that I had posted and last updated more than 4 years ago.

My suggestion is to use every resource possible, at some point you will get in the habit of checking everyday and know which jobs are new and which ones are not. It is best to use all resources, hotjobs, monster, careerbuilder, dice, newspaper (websites). That and word or mouth may help. And don't forget to check out Head Hunters or even Temporary to Hire employment (they may get your foot in the door.) Just my bit of advice.
