I just listend to the Friday replay and couldn't believe it. Fezzie has a heartbreaking meltdown on the anniversary of his heart attack and the way Ron talked him down was amazing. The way he calmly and sensibly talked to Fezzie and still managed to sneak in a buch of one liners was incredable. The Handsome cab challange, chastizing East Side for also crying, brilliant. Cheer up Fezzie with someone like Ron as your best friend you can't loose.
Is there audio of this anywhere? Will it be in the File Library anytime soon?

Just par for the course for Mr. B.

I know its not in line with his persona, but he should write a real book on life. The dude's life philosphy is extemely compelling. Plus, who better to write a book on life than someone who actually lived a full one.

I must agree with you gents, I'm new to the board but, I have been listening to the show since WNEW. I think my favorite thing about Ron is his ability to debate/argue. No matter what side he takes on a certain situation, he always seems right because of the way he presents it. Out of all the people on XM 202 he is my favorite by far...

I've often told my wife I wish Ron wrote a book (preferably an autobiography), I'm glad I'm not the only one who's thought this.

That's why Sir Bennington is where he is and not a straphanger or some ham & egger.

Very compelling radio to say the least.

Ronnie is the best talk show host in the industry. He's versatile and can adapt to whatever situation is presented to him.

Ron is awesome and what makes him more awesome is that he doesn't want to be compared to ANYONE. Saying "you're the best on 202" or "I don't listen to any other shows anymore" or anything like that gets him angry.

He doesn't need to be SEEN as the best because he KNOWS he's the best.

I'm just a drunk catholic mick who is just gaining a different perspective on things lately, so filter appropriately. Yeah, I guess I'm getting Eastern. If you listen to dudes like Ron, John Lennon, Bono, MLK, or read about Lincoln, listen to lots of non-famous old-souls, etc... from my perspective it begins to become obvious to me that they are just experienced souls. My wise old grandmother is no better than my 5 year old daughter - they are just at different points in life.

Fez Rules,

Bob

I love Ronnie, and what's not to love? Hearing Fez break down out of left field really had me feeling for him. Regret, anxiety, fear for the future, the reality that we're all going to die, all those aspects are shitty things to deal with. Ronnie's advice was one hundred percent spot on, the kind of advice you would expect from a cool dude who doesn't pretend to be your parent. I also liked his serious/humorous suggestion that Fez get a female psychiatrist, one who is nurturing, cuz, as Ron says, he doesn't know shit about being nurturing. Good conversation, I wouldn't mind seeing this put on file, but I wouldn't want that file put up if it was considered too personal or real or whatever.

listening to the replay of this weeks fez meltdown and the way ronnie defended him against all the asshole callers was amazing. i heard it all go down live, but the replay made me feel so much more emotion. he is a great man and a great friend for fezzie. he makes me want to be a better person.

makes me think of sheepys sigpic quote, "are you the favorite person of anyone?" I know ronnie b never has to ask himself that question. ron is a hero. and whatley has a posse.
