Some of these callers are just liars. The ASVAB only goes to 99 or 100. Individual line scores can be higher but a great score in one category doesn't mean you qualify for intel. Also, they hand you a sheet that says what you get and they say, "this is it, if your recruiter promised you anything that is not on this sheet you will not get it by signing".

ron's off on this one...it's all about fitness.  look at the major sports: players come into these leagues in their late teens and then retire sometime in their 30s (normally).  no one is being drafted by an nfl team when they're 30.  you're on the downward spiral at that time.

A friend of mine was a recruiter and HATED it.  He was in Bosnia for a while, and the Army sent him back to be a recruiter.  He wanted to go back on active duty, but was told that recruitment was more important and he had to serve his time as one.  He was finally transferred to Iraq for 18 months last year.  He was happy to go, believe it or not.

Just awfulness.  Can't people just call and say how wonderful everyone was?  Instead they have to sell each other out. I know that it's easy to hate pests and paltalkers and lump them in together, but Dave wanted me and others to call in to talk about a fun night.Dave has been called out by RF.net ppl too for his midnight drunken ramblings among other things.It was a fun  night, and Dave got trashed.It's not much different than many other weekends you know we've spent with him.I'm just glad the drunk fuck didn't stumble into traffic again or call me at 4 am.

Maybe, just maybe, there's a certain amount of prejudiced when listening to anything called in by people that are correctly and incorrectly lumped in together with "pests" somewhat ala oa.com'ers that joined rf.net when oa.com self combusted?
