That was seriously the only time I have ever enjoyed listening to East Side Dave.    Between the drunk promos and the Board Gossip, ESD is having the Best Week Ever!

It is a funny bit hell even Ron was laughing hysterically. The opening Theme music really sets it up and Dave's delivery really blows it out of the park. The promos are also awesome. We all know Fezzie is having a "weak" week and I must admit Dave has really stepped up. On an unrelated note did anyone else notice that the Buddies signed off at 2:45 today?

He wrote a bit called East Side Dave's gossip corner or some such thing. Basically he combs the forums of various websites and reports what he has read. It sounds unfunny sure but he found some hillarious opening theme music for the bit and delivers the report with a sort of gay old time Hollywood voice.

 Ron kept stepping all over Dave whenever he tried to do the bit, obviously it was worked out that way and added to the bit. Still I had to laugh every time I heard that Razzle Dazzle music. I guess Ron's right the bit would get tired if he did it every day it's better to do it a few times a week or so.

I still haven't heard the original bit, but listening today and hearing the intro music I was laughing my face off, especially when Ron started cutting the music off.  Maybe it's because I can't listen all the time, but I don't get the Dave hate.  I can see how he plays the heel often, but I find his energy and ridiculous arrogance hysterical.  And his girlish giggle is dreamy...

I've never really gotten the Dave hate - right out of the box, there were people ready to pounce on him over any stupid little thing they didn't like - he didn't sound like what they think that role should be, so they were ready to tear him up. Since then he has done and said a lot of stupid things that make it hard to defend him, but the dude really knows the show and loves it and never seems fake or pulling back.This bit is a riot - I laughed like an idiot again today, just hearing the theme music, and the lil bit of joy you could hear in Ron's voice.
