View Full Version : Should Fez Drink This Friday?

Fez has said that to commemorate the one year anniversary of his heart attack he plans on drinking 7 & 7s throughout Friday's show. It'll be the first booze he's had in a year.

Do you think he should go through with the sousing?

Given his recent mental state, I vote nay.

It's a big mistake. His psyche is so damaged right now, alchohol will only make things worse. Especially given the fact he hasn't had a drink in 12 months. As soon as he takes two sips he'll be cryin' for the rest of the show. I think it's the last thing he needs.
I think Fez needs to lay off a bit longer. maybe another few weeks once the stress of the heart attack is gone. Alcohol and diabetes don't mix weel as it is, add the stress he's going through and it's bound to turn into a real disaster.

I think it is an important part of Fez getting back to 'himself.' As long as his doctor has said he is able to drink, I think it will be good for Fez. My only worry is he will go into drinking too much once he starts and end up back in the same situation again... That point aside, I still say he should do it.

PapaBear
11-07-2006, 06:58 PM
I can see him having a drink to reward himself, but a drinking show is a bad idea. Maybe he should just have a couple of shots of absinthe, but not much more than that.

I vote NO, having been in a fragile mental state in the past myself. One or two is OK, but in the context of a "Drinking Show" - no way.

Things will turn bad, and that is virtually gauranteed. If not from something stupid in the studio, or a poorly timed Mikey-D call, then one of these horrible hayseed callers is going to ruin the party.

Fezzie, if you drink only drink one or two - Just say NO to the Drinking Show.

feralBoy
11-07-2006, 07:44 PM

I voted no, because I don't want fez to die. But as I think about it, I don't think it would physically hurt him in the long term, if he had a few drinks and got drunk. I think maybe emotionally and mentally it may be a good idea for him to drink. Once he realizes that having a few drinks isn't going to make his heart explode, the closer he will be to realizing he can get back to a normal life, and the closer he will be to realizing that there is no reason for him to be depressed, anxious, or whatever.

TheRealEddie

NO, I don't think Fezzie should drink this friday given not only his mental state but also his state of health. I dont want him to over do it and end up back in the hospital. If he really wants to drink I would suggest to drink in moderation to begin with.

The guy had a fucking heart attack and isn't on his death bed. Sure moderation is always the smart move, but cutting it out all together isn't needed. Hell, ask his doctor if he isn't being an ego centric asstart. Fezzie needs to lay back and enjoy life again and a few drinks shouldn't be an issue. The man needs to live life again, not sit around and fear it bc he had a setback. We all know plenty of people who have had heart attacks these days and are fine since they got medical help. Fez has a young heart by most standards and has been doing the right thing since it happened overall. He should make red wine his bitch and drink a few to let loose once again.

Good luck Fez! Cheers.

A nice drink does cool the edge of panic attacks and anxiety and a couple drinks will probably not be bad for the ticker but enough to get 'comedy gold' radio would be too much. If I were him, I'd do one or two after the show with Ron and the guys to blow some steam off, but definitely not overinduldge as a bit during the show. Too much of a shock to the system. Need to ease back into it. Be good to yourself Fezzie.

Nice job Fezzie! See you at the Christmas party with a drink in each hand! Can't wait.

When Fez got a bit emotional at the end of the show I thought "Oh boy, here we go..." but he recovered nicely. I hope he's OK the rest of the weekend when he's got time to think and is sober.

I also hope today's show doesn't give him "the taste" back.

Yes he's healthy now, but he's still a diabetic heart patient. Boozing never did anyone any good, especially someone with a host of physical and mental problems. I'm not trying to be a downer, I just love Fez too much and I genuinely worry about the guy.

Funny show today. I admit I was worried about Fezzie for health reasons but my eagerness to suspend disbelief for a radio show bit shocks me. Had fun even though I am a hayseed and the carnival took my dollar
