It's being reported that Jim Phillips of the Phillips File announced a little while ago that the Hideout has been cancelled by WTKS and that the members of the show have been let go.

This could be the best thing possible for old school Hideout fans. If there is a chance of going to XM, I hope there isn't a no compete clause in their contract, like ONA had.

DCRTV also hears that the two are being wooed by DC-based XM Satellite Radio, and could do some sort of radio venture with fellow former WJFK-FMers Ron and Fez, who are currently heard on Opie and Anthony's XM channel, High Voltage (XM-202). We want to take the opportunity to thank Katherine Brown and Dan Stone
for the opportunity to let us grow at Real Radio. They took a huge
chance on us, and we wish it had worked out for the better.

Also, a huge thank you to the Real Radio staff. The Monsters embraced
us with open arms and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
SBK is one of the funniest men on the radio and became a great friend.
The Shannon Burke Show and The Philips Phile also too showed us a
tremendous amount of respect and love so we are very grateful to have
worked with them.
Finally, there are no better fans than The Heretics. Most of you were
more than listeners, you were friends. This little radio family should
and will keep in touch with each other.
As far as the show is concerned, we have already been contacted by 3
outlets in 3 different major markets. With technology being what it is,

There are, I think, 5 Hideout podcasts out there, grouped by category.
iTunes is a mystery to me. I never got into that gimmick, but I'll check out this mothers' day show.

Even if I don't find them hilarious in these recordings, they have the right tempo, right delivery, and right sense of humor to work out just fine on the xm lineup. I can tell allready that I'll listen to them if I have access to their show.

I recently started grabbing some of their bits off the internet wherever I could. I like what I've heard very much. If R&F are moving to their own channel I think The Hideout would be a perfect companion to their show.
