For a man with no scientific background the man is extremely logical and skeptical. I wouldn't be surpised if he were an atheist or agnostic, which is a great thing. The man has sense and can see through the non-sense that religion is. Like Ernest Hemingway said " All thinking men are atheist".
From what Ron has said, he is not an atheist. I've heard him say things that would make him more agnostic, but he does love his Catholic background.
The way I hear him defend it, and considering that he refers to it as a "religion",
could he be scientologist? I sure hope not. I seriously can't listen to Beck anymore
once I found out he worshipped the space aliens.

Ron points out that belief that aliens created humans etc. is no more weird or unbelievable than belief in a religion whose main repository of belief has been scientifically disproven on many things, and contains events that defy scientific laws. And yes, I'm talking about Christianity.

Oh yeah Ron;s also Huge on animal intelligence. I get that stuff all the time, and he's also brought it up; he takes seriously the 'do Lobsters feel pain?' question, not from a human perspective but from a 'can animals abstract far into the past/future like humans can?' standpoint.

He's also a fan of Rupert Sheldrake's theory of Morphic Resonance, wikipedia it, some crazy shit.

He also recommended strongly the movie 'What The Bleep Do We Know?!' which has some great stuff but some pseduscience that takes away from some great explanations of the double slit experiment, uncertainty principle, superposition, and quantum mechanics.

All of these inconsistent with an anthropomorphic deity that concerns itself with out behaviours.

I think Ron is most definitely a Catholic. Most Catholics only think about religion 2 times of year, Christmas and Easter, the rest of the time they just go on their merry way.

I agree MIKE the way to go was "self-educated". Let the man speak his mind on science instead of listening to ESD's gossip ( Lmao ) I'd rather get some Ron science, although I do love Dave. Ron sounds almost borderline atheist, what can I say the man defines greatness, genius and funny.
