Could be true as clearly Earl was having personal issues this week. Ron kept asking if that thing worked out and if everything was ok and Earl usually gave negative answers. Had to be something serious as it was not brought up directly on air.

I guess we'll get the full scoop in twelve hours, but it would be nice if someone "on the inside" gave us all a bit of insight.  Is everything alright with Earl's health?Was he canned or did he leave of his own volition?Does it have anything to do with Ron and Fez's apparent move to "other" outlets?   All I'm saying is that if news is going to be leaked, there should at least be some follow up.

This is a complete and utter shock to my system! Earl isn't a huge contributor to the verbal part of the show but he definately contributes to what has become my favorite show from on the radio. I listen to it from 10am-1pm and fall asleep to the replays from 10pm-1am (my time), Earl is the most knowledgeable music history guy I've ever heard. But hey, maybe I'm 'don't get the bit guy', maybe this is just a chunk of 'razzle dazzle'. I hope I can be classified as a 2%'er in this case.

If this is true, and it looks like it is, then I wish Earl the best. He really was a stand up guy, who was quite passionate about the show. I'm sure no matter what scenerio went down that it couldn't have been fun or easy, and I am really sad that it didn't work out. I had Earl pegged from the start as a "lifer" with them, and I hope that his friendship with the show and its fans can continue on. I've kinda done a 180 on this topic. To see the way Ron was pissed, Fez was hiding and Dave was unmasterfully working the board all due to Earls absence has made me think that maybe the show is better with a new supporting cast. I really like Dave but his skills are lacking (maybe he could take some lessons from Opie, cause Opie's just a board op y'know). He needs to go back and polish his skills a whole lot... I just think it's time for the famous "Ron Bennington house cleanings" O&A speak of so fondly.Todays show, while not in the realm of suckdom, was one of the worst produced, least flowing shows I've heard. If this Earl situation is in fact not a bit then I wouldn't think he should be welcomed back. He has fits on air, leaves the studio and now goes AWOL.... Just clean the fuckin shop, get back to the radio gold we are accustomed to with R&F.I'm sorry if this ruffled any feathers, I don't want to piss anyone off but I just thought I had to get this off my chest before I hit my wife (the law frowns upon that).

I hope it's not a bit.  I hope earls gone and ronnie can bring in someone else to be a good producer.  Earl seemed to be producing well but god his guests were either some chick who took photos of herself banging old rock stars or some chick who watched shit movies and claimed we were in the wrong for linking anything that cost more than $2.85 to make.Besides Paul Hayman I cant think of one good guest Earl's got on the show...he got Terry Gillingham sure...but that was a boring interview.  Plus on air he's probably the most monotonous and least exciting person on air ever.I really hope they go the route of bringing back someone from their past like a Giant Brian or J-Dubs and dont hire any more listeners or regular callers unless it's someone with experience...I really hope they can get Bitz....

In regards to my previous post, I must say I was completely off base. I listened to the replay last night in bed and it was actually a pretty well done show, aside from the silent commercial break and Dave not being able to rewind the clips for Ronnie.I spoke too soon, I didn't analyze the show as a whole and I was stupid.I'm sorry RF.net, Sorry Ron, Earl, Dave and Fez...The bit has been worked to perfection!
