I was stuck on a conference call that lasted about as long as Robert Randolph was in studio today, unfortunately, but I dug what I did hear of his music. I also see people got good vibes in the listening thread today.

What did you guys think of the interview/music/Robert Randolph?

Did anybody get the impression that Ronnie might have been rolling his eyes at that last preachy song? I know I got the douche chills.

It's an old song buddy, been out there forever. Ronnie surely knew the song he was about to play and surely wasn't rolling his eyes.

It was cool to here you on the radio PH. As for RR, he falls into that category of great musician I respect but just don't get into. The type where if the song came on the radio it'd be a good change of pace and you can always tell he's passionate about his craft and can play, but not my thing. The closest I come to his style is Ben Harper and I like Harper a ton. I guess its just the dif in style that makes me love one and hardly notice the other.

I had heard of Justin Timberlake and all of thier ilk. I agree, Randolf sucks. He's better than most popular music., but that not saying much. Ron has made fun of Dave Matthews' fans before. Randolf is of the same ilk. Ron bit his tongue, deal with it.

If that was the black guy with his "Family Band" he was pretty rockin'. I mean I don't see myself listening to it, but the music did have a lot of soul and was fairly good.
