Someone pointed out the other day, that Jefe's top friends in his Myspace, contain two interesting things...FreeFM 106.7 Washington, and FreeFM 92.3 New York.Also, as I pointed out a while back before they got fired, Jefe had an interesting snow globe at his seat on the show (that's not Jefe in the pic, but it's his chair)...<img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/snowmaninva66/DSCN0143Small.jpg" border="0" width="404" height="306" />

If they come to NYC, I'll look forward to hearing them.  Although it would mean no R&F at night, it would still be a quality program that I could listen to.

It’s been a very busy 2 weeks since our last show at Real Radio 104.1. I got banned from a Circle K in Tampa, and Dubs got freaked out by a fat lady slated to cut his hair because all he could think about was that her hands, which would be running through his hair, were washing her blubbery crotch that morning. Not to mention the radio gold missed out on thanks to Kramer, OJ & the launch of the PS3. As I posted on the board and told Scott Maxwell from the Orlando Sentinel and, more importantly, Perrynoid from The Cosmic Circus we had 3 opportunities present themselves the very day we were let go from Clear Channel Orlando due to budget cuts. Those opportunities have expanded to 5 and the action is beginning so I now announce these 3 exciting pieces of Hideout News, followed by some answers to potential questions. 1) The Hideout will be doing a week’s worth of “test shows” at 106.7 WJFK Free FM in Washington, DC December 4th-8th from 8p-10p. 2) Dubs & I are excited to welcome our former co-worker and very good friend, Shaffee, into The Hideout as a new member of the show. 3) We are currently building a new official website that will serve as part scrapbook for previous versions of The Hideout and part blueprint for the show. With these 3 announcements, I assume there will be questions so I will anticipate a few and answer them. • Does this mean WJFK is in the lead to land the show and how will this affect other potential outlets? o Since ‘JFK was the 1st outlet to offer airtime to see if the show fits with their station, they took precedent over other outlets. However, that does not mean the others are not still in play. A lot of people will be listening to and evaluating The Hideout v4.0 the 12/4-12/8. • How will the addition of Shaffee change the show and affect Chunks and Tommy Bateman? o First and foremost, Chunks and Tommy will always have a job with us. I just hope the next gig pays them what they’re worth. As for the “test shows,” I’m not sure if both will make to ‘JFK simply due to timing. It’s my understanding ex-intern Sidcada (a current ‘JFK employee) will be in the building to assist the show. o Shaffee is one of the most talented radio personalities I’ve heard…EVER! He’ll bring comedy, consistency and an added level of quirkiness that will make The Hideout even stronger and more entertaining. Roles will vary somewhat from before (including mine), but people will be playing more in position to their strengths. This is the show lineup we’ve wanted ever since we were on Saturday nights at ‘JFK so we’re stoked to finally have it all come together now. Many nights, 4 hours would fly by before we knew it marking the show as a good one. With Shaffee, nearly every night will feel that way. Mark my words; December 4th-8th will be a blur. • What does the new official website mean for <a href="http://www.hideoutheretics.net/" target="_blank">www.hideoutheretics.net</a> and <a href="http://www.fullblownaids.com/?" target="_blank">www.fullblownaids.com?</a> o We’d like to see both sites continue as they are. The new website will be your “one stop shop” for all things Hideout. That includes photos, videos, audio highlights from all the versions of The Hideout and HUGE banners for hh.net and FBA.com. More importantly, the new site will serve as a blueprint for the show. New Heretics and old will be able to quickly get caught up on storylines, names to know and other important Hideout History Facts with one touch of button. Uncensored material will be released on it as well. We’re hoping to have a skeleton version up with the new logo by December 4th. I’m sure there are more questions, and I’ll answer as many as I can. We know many of you were hoping we’d already signed a deal, but this is only the 2nd step in what could be a very long process. Things are

I'm sure WJFK is still streaming, they started towards the end of R+F's run there. Although I just took a look at:http://1067freefm.com/pages/71080.php and it doesn't look encouraging for that time slot. Hopefully they can change it.

Don't close the doors on them showing up at XM. We don't know what's going to happen with where they finally land - also, with very few exceptions, XM seems to like to share a lot of their talk show content with terestrial. Now with O&A in place at both, I could see the door opening to more CBS shows.

Yeah, D&M walked out last week after two days of phones not working and then managment locked them out for the next week with no word. I was wondering why CBS management chose to test on JFK vs FNY. Clear channel has made a lot of uncharacteristic errors a head of the sale. If these guys are as good as advertised (I have only heard bits and pieces) this will be another. A show that can generate ratings with males 18 - 34 is worth its weight in gold.

Still weirded out they got let go, considering what a strong and funny show they do - happy I can hear them during their tests next week and happy they have options - if something does work out with WJFK, this go around Jefe and Dubbs will know how far they can trust them.

Dont they have a couple years of test shows? the dynamic of the show is changing with the addition of the new guy (forgot his name, sorry)  I think test shows will at least help the hideout get used to the new scene and at least we get to hear em stream for a week.  I still hope we somehow end up with a new xm channel that hosts r n f, cosmic circus, hideout, sleeves, and patrice o'neil (his bit this weekend was hysterical.)I do think it is an odd time for this dc free fm station.  from what i have read, don and mike are m i a and the "junkies" (never heard them, but they currently hold am drive slot) are getting a new time slot.I somehow feel like opie is involved in this.  He wants the live drive slot in DC again (can't blame him.)

i heard one of the shows this morning. As a first time lisenter, its pretty good. i like the topics (stealing women's underwear after you had sex with them) and they are funny down to earth guys. if they are on FREE FM here i will may or may not tune in (personal politics) but if they are on XM i would be proud to.

Their podcasts from their Florida shows (Hideout V 3.0) are really funny - very strong stuff. Some excellent video. Lots of downloads available from that and their shows at WJFK. The Hideout websites and fba have clips. ALSO...check out the stuff Mikeyboy put up from their time also with Ron and Fez if you haven't yet - I can't stress enough how funny the drinking shows or the R&F show where the producer won a BMW over Dubbs. ESSENTIAL radio!Like R&F, they have a lot of caller inter-action; they had some very loyal callers their first time here. These test shows are different, in many respects, to what they use to do - Shaffee is a new voice to the show - two regular cast members, Chunks and Bateman, aren't there and it's odd that they haven't been referenced on the show. Also missing Matt Albert and some of the other characters. Since these are tests, maybe all they wanted was a stripped dow version.

Me & AKA & Nameless (from HideoutHeretics.net) went and sat in on The Hideout's last trial show @ WJFK last nite. They did a great job & the show has even tightened up since their premiere on Monday. I do think they need 4 hours to really get rolling in their true style tho!
