I always loved Demolition more. I know they were a rip off but they were my favorite. Which team do you think was better?

The Road Warriors.

they snacked on danger and dined on death.

Easily the Road Warriors. You'll never get the best of them. Only the worst.

I don't know about Demolition being a rip-off of the Road Warriors since the "Powers of Pain" (Barbarian and The Warlord) looked a hell of a lot like the Road Warriors.

Anyhoo, Demolition had the better theme in my opinion.

The Road Warriors were by far. They had the better entrance, they were the better athletes, and were an original group. So many groups copied them in so many ways after them, including Demolition.

I remember going to watch them in a small high school gym in MN when they were with the AWA and I was pretty young. I remember booing them because they were supposed to be heels, but most of the crowd were caught up with their charisma, etc. and were cheering for them, rather than the High Flyers, who they were wrestling against.

Prime vs. Prime - It's not even close. The Road Warriors were the scariest thing ever.

Low Point vs. Low Point - You have to give it to Demolition. As bad as adding Crush was, it doesn't compare to taking orders from Roberto or adding football helmets & a "2000" to their name. I'm not even bringing up drunken suicide threats (wait, I just brought it up, didn't I?)

Today - As bad ass as Animal is, he can't beat The Masked Superstar, Krusher Khruschev and The KISS Demon even with the help of Droz & Heidenreich.

hands down its the Road Warriors. Their gimmick was DECADES ahead of its time. They could still be a relevant tag team in the business today. Rocco was definantly a downpoint for them. but i still get chills when i watch Wrestlemania 8 and Bobby Heenan utters the line: "Oh no..... Oh no... Do you know who that is?" (referring to Paul Ellering) and then Hawk says: "We've been around here like a runaway locomotive.... well look who's driving the train!"

...God i love miss those guys.....

The Road Warriors in their heyday were easily better.

The problem is how WWE has tried too much to revive the gimmick over the years. The LOD 2000, with the football helmets, Sunny, and Droz was useless.

And then the remake in 2005 with Animal & Heidenreich was about as bad as it could get.

Comparing Demolition to the Road Warriors is like comparing Oasis to the Beatles. I'll take my childhood memories of watching the Roadies in the AWA destroying people and thinking "these are the toughest men on the planet."

Would love to see two tough guys bring the gimmick back legimiately but Animal could only manage at this point.

LOD for the win. Including Droz. Maybe Heidenreich if he had a bit more time on the mic.
