I didn't even know he directed the Aviator till i looked him up on IMDB. It's really a toss up between Goodfellas or Goodfellas II:AKA Casino.

Where's "Mean Streets?" "After Hours?" and "Last Waltz?" I'd also say the "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore", "Who's that Knocking at My Door?," and "Last Temptation of Christ" trump a lot of films on that list.

If I can't vote for "Mean Streets," I'll go with "Taxi Driver."

To further stir the pot, I find "Goodfellas" to be overrated - A very fun, watchable movie certainly, but it lacks the depth and poetry of Marty's earlier joints. Then again, I thought "The Departed" was pretty corny too.

I gotta say that I have to agree where is "After Hours" in that list? I just saw that movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I fucking LOVED it. And was pleasantly surprised when I found out Scorsese made it. Not the best, when compared to Raging Bull, or Goodfellas, but should at least be on the list to be voted upon. And in my opinion is better than Casino and Aviator.

Saudis seem to love Scorsese. (Here we go again with the Saudi satellite again!) In the last two weeks I watched Goodfellas, Casino and Gangs of New York. Raging Bull runs about every six months. I've seen ads for Bringing Out the Dead and Cape Fear (paired with the original), but I missed them.

Then again, they've run five Ben Affleck movies in the last two weeks and there's always a Van Damme or Segal movie in the lineup.

Scoresese flicks here have the added bonus of the Saudi editing. They hate the word "fucking" but think the word "fuck" is a-ok, and I'd love to see the cleric's face when he's editing Casino or Goodfellas every time Pesci comes on the screen.

I picked Taxi Driver, but I think Mean Streets would come second, so should have made the list. Who's going to pick Bringing out the Dead? Maybe switch that for Mean Streets? Or Pee In My Butt, which, honestly, who else could have directed except Scorsese??

The poll doesn't say director anywhere.

We need a new poll: Which is the best Scorsese poll? Is it Furie's ultra-futuristic intergalactic "moon" 2006 Scorcese poll? Or was it KOP's rustic, nostalgic "Pepperidge farms" and "Country-Time" lemonade-flavored 2004 poll?

I gotta go with Taxi Driver, forgiving of course that uncomfortable scene where Marty does a cameo in the cab talking to Deniro about shooting a woman in the pussy.

I don't think it was his "best" movie but I want to show some love for "The Last Temptation of Christ."

Not only did it get our "buddy" Bill Donohue (aka "the Catholic Al Sharpton") all riled up at the time but it was a great interpretation of a complex book and a profoundly spiritual movie as well.

Voted Goodfellas ..that's my favorite but I'm not sure it's the best. From a directorial standpoint "Gangs" was very well done considering the size of the film. King of Comedy is so underrated that it sickens me. Talk about a comedy that has stood the test of time.

I love them all. I chose goodfellas but they all are great. He needs as Oscar already.
