Is there some way Bronx Johnny can switch jobs with East Side Dave? That way ESD doesnt have to worry about stealing money from XM as he'll be an unpaid intern. Plus Johnny has the cool factor Dave will never have..

East Suicide Dave brings alot to the table,  Bronx Johnny is just a young pup outta college, where as ESD has months of experience and a great resume full of "bits" like Board Gossip, Requesting the "Fuck Opie and Anthony" show pormo and getting tortured on air. I doubt BJ would allow himself the humiliation that ESD provides and grants some of us to get great pleasure from

I hope that in Jan.when the new interns start that they finally hire Bronx Johnny. He doesn't really have the resources or the stroke to be a major contributor yet, but give him a chance . That kid is GOOD radio.

I agree with watson, there's no way Bronx Johnny puts himself through what East Side Dave does.  Dave sets himself up for a lot of abuse and I can't see Johnny doing that.

one of the funniest exchanges i heard was when Bronx Johnny was out on assignment checking out some female movie star or music star and was supposed to report back to the studio what was going on.Anyway Ronnie was talking to BJ on the cellphone and when Ronnie would ask him a question about what was going BJ just said  "oh she's hot boss". Then Ronnie asks him a different question and BJ just answered  "oh she's hot boss"So Ronnie just hangs up and says " okay Johnny, thanks for the funny " that shit still cracks me up

I hope Bronx Johnny is on the payroll.  That kid is good radio, he and ron have pretty good on air chemistry.   He doesn't have the retard factor that ESD does but I think he brings a totally different vibe to the show thats needed every now and again.  Plus he fucks strippers.

Yea... Johnny definitly has repoire with Ron.. he may not add the comedic/idiot role to the show that dave does but he definitly has something to add and should be offered a salary.. Think of all the idiots that have been there before.. I say keep him as a part of the Ron & Fez show..  I could be wrong but I'm not...

Jeff you are not wrong at all.  You cant compare what Dave what brings to the show and what Johnny offers.  so its not fair to say that Johnny is better.  they are just different.  Out of the cast of characters that have come and gone Johnny and Pitz are the best to come down the pike in a while.  they both deserve jobs with the show.   This is a thread that needs to go to 10 pages and then printed and mailed to E-LO.

R&F need to keep the BX in the show. Johnny really represents NYC when he is in the studio. Ron is Philly, Fez is Florida, Dave is clown college and Earl is Munitown. The boys need a guy like Johnny to keep a finger on the pulse of the uptown scene.

I still don't get why O&A get what seems like a basically unlimited staff and Ron & Fez only get Earl and Dave and non-paid interns.XM needs to hook them up. It's not like Ron & Fez can groom BXJ and Pitz as producers waiting in the wings like the old days. Earl was at WNEW for, what, 20 years? He'd never leave the show willingly unless a rock station in New York (he'd never leave NYC willingly either) offered him the Black Rock Coalition. And Dave getting a job as a host or PD somewhere is a frightening thought. So those guys are there for life unless they get fired.

I think comparing the two is like comparing apples to prostitutes (I think that's how it goes). Johnny does have the cool factor but he is a bit unrefined and has yet to find his niche on the air. Dave on the other hand knows how to get a reaction; Whether he says things on purpose or it is genuine naivity, he still makes my silly ass laugh. At this point it would be nice to have both for the show but if I had to choose, I'd stay with Dave.
