Anyone else into Rufus Wainwright's music? For years, one of my favorite songs was his cover of "Hallelujah," but until recently I didn't listen to any of his other music. So I recently bought all of his CDs and have been listening to them a lot.

I know Ron has mentioned on at least one occassion that he liked Rufus' music, but I wanted to see if anyone else was in the same camp.

Good stuff. He's like a more "flamboyant" (*wink-wink*) Jeff Buckley.

I love Rufus.

"April Fools" was my first dance at my wedding, and "Instant Pleasure" (unfortunately, from the "Big Daddy" soundtrack) is one of my favorite songs.

I wish he could find a bigger audience. He's too clever for mainstream gay culture, and too gay for mainstream culture. It makes him Fez!

There's probably no gay man i love more. I've seen him perform a few times and it has never been less than great. In My Arms, Foolish Love, and Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk...these are just a couple of my favorites.

Love his Hallelujah as well...but Leonard Cohen still does it best.

My friend sent me the following link which features a Rufus Wainwright cover of "Wonderful/Song for Children" from Brian Wilson's finished version of SMiLE (Track #10) (http://www.myspace.com/warchildheroes).
Very cool version.
