For those who don't know, the Junkies (DC) took the place of Howard Stern on WJFK when he left .

WASHINGTON - It was all going so well. Confetti rained on the Patriot Center crowd. The ring girls leading the ringside entourage were hot. The rap song irked the opponent. More than 5,000 fans chanted his name. It was a perfect moment for J.P. Flaim of “The Junkies.”

Too bad the fight had to start.

And too bad it ended so quickly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylr_w0t2oXs (long version of the fight)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtH9hprM5RQ&mode=related&search= (just the fight)

Oh-ho, so now it's a "shock jock?" Perry, you cheeky monkey.

Personally, I wanted him to get beat down. If he had somehow won it would have been insufferable. Though finally watching the video, it doesn't seem like he got knocked around too badly, and he was in a lot better shape than I figured...so why did the ref stop the fight? I smell fix...

I think JP was un-responsive but who knows...

Kathy at WJFK hooked me up with tix. But I ended up not being able to go. I couldnt even give them away...
