Just heard the brother weaze (weeze?) show for XM. Very listenable stuff. for some reason i was expecting some old hippy bore. I really liked him and his style of show. very honest and not full of the 'hard drinkin shock jock' stuff i expected.

he seemed really genuine and the guys with him (including the bird) were pretty funny..despite her awful 'word up!' greeting.

i actually missed the first 10 mins of ron and fez cause i was so into it..that doesnt happen often.

sorry if theres another thread about this, couldnt see it.

I used to listen to the Wease replays they would do on weekends at WNEW. He's got a solid show. I enjoy it.

I'm looking forward to the next one, although I had to bail out a couple of times. There was just too much D-sucking from callers to keep my attention during the first hour or so. Then I tuned back in and got a little tired of the direction the political/war story talk was taking.

That being said, it was a good show. Now that the bugs have been worked out, I look forward to the next one.

If Bill Burr's show is ANYWHERE as good as his cd im in, and even the Than and Sam show was funny...not so keen on patrice's format.

personally, i cant listen to O&A anymore. i just cant take opie. but 'The Virus' looks well strong and if R&F got their own channel with the likes of the cosmic circus and AMV i d be afraid to go out the friggin door with all the quality programming.

It sounded like they were going to do more shows, but that may be wishful thinking on my part. Seemed like a shakedown cruise to me, especially since Wease didn't break away from the phones too much. If this were a one-shot I think he would have probably had more in-studio discussion planned, especially to get his viewpoint out there or "get stuff off his chest."

I'm kind of bummed his radio station doesn't do net simulcasting - I would probably check him out a couple of mornings a week.

I just had a freaky thought - Wease and Patrice doing a relationship show together.

Patrice's current format doesn't cut it becuse there isn't anybody in studio that calls him on his BS. Brother Wease would be able to stand up to Patrice and add the "married-forever guy" perspective. Could be some good radio.

It's not going to happen, but I was entertained for a moment thinking about it...
