Hey buddays. I finally finished with school and am moving up to Northern Virginia. It was fun living in one place for 8 years, but it's time to move on.

I look forward to the next ronfez.net event in Northern Virginia. Hopefully it's not for Fez's burial.

On a side note, does anyone know of any full or part-time jobs in the DC area?

FYI... If you end up getting a job that's actually in DC, you want to get the most bang for your buck cost of living-wise, don't mind hicks as neighbors, and don't mind a 90 minute commute, look into living in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

Places like Charles Town, Inwood, Martinsburg, etc are becoming meccas for NOVA/DC government/intelligence employees. You can find brand new 3 bedroom/2 bath homes for 150-190K. If you don't like to drive, you can take a train from Martinsburg to Union Station in DC.

Try usajobs.gov You can create an account there, search for openings and create a resume. Best of luck. BTW, I commute about 25 miles to from Dumfries to Alexandria in a marked police cruiser and it still takes 45 minutes to get in if I have to work a day watch. Going home in the afternoon can take over an hour.

Yeah, you sound like me about 4 years ago, almost word-for-word. I did a complete 180 on Baltimore, though. It has character and a soul, and people are actually are from here (I don't know if there is a correlation between the two, I suspect there is). Anyway, I was mentioning it just to contrast the other suggestion. There aren't many people who want to do the Baltimore to Alexandria trip that I do 4 times a week.
