How often do you drink alcohol? [Archive]

It seems like ronfez.net has a heavy-drinking membership or former drinkers. How many days/nights a week do you drink? I like to drink at least 3-4 nights a week, but not always to the point where I'm wasted. I wonder what it is that draws so many drinkers to the show and the board.

Monday (Monday Night Football at the bar), Thursday (Regular drinking night with my buddies), Friday (Happy Hour/Night with friends from work), and Sunday (Football) are my regular drinking days. So i voted 3-4 times a week. Though every other week I'll throw a saturday night of drinking in there.

I've really cut back.  In fact, I rarely drink at all anymore. Just one or two drinks, every once in a while, is all I need to get me through each day.

I might have a couple beers watching the game with my friends on the weekend. But that's about it unless it's a party. Which their was one this past Friday and I got fucking hammered on beer and jello shots. Didn't fare too well in the beer pong, so I was throwing up all next morning.

I'll have some red wine once in awhile, but that's about it.  Maybe a glass or two on a Sunday afternoon if I'm having an Italian meal with family or friends.  My days of drinking for the sake of getting drunk are long gone.

I dont drink, maybe 1 or 2 times a year I will have a drink, if that! I think alcohol taste like shit. Give me a ice tea or soda or water and im good. I will be the designated driver!!!

Here's a great drink for the one's who like to drink. It's called Caribou-Lou.Take half a bottle of Bacardi 151 and pour into a pitcher. Add one cup of Malibu coconut rum. Then fill the rest of the picther with pineapple juice. Last; enjoy, and becareful

If I'm out somewhere I usually drove, so I won't drink more than one beer, and I usually say "Why bother" and just drink soda.  Beer is too expensive at resturaunts anyway.I sometimes have like 1 shot with Jenn from my band before we play a show, but again, it's like why even bother if I'm going to just drink the one.I haven't drank a lot at  home in months.  It seems every now and then I'll want to get sloppy drunk for some reason but the want to do that has been coming less and less over the past year or two.I'll actually have nights where I thought "Why not" and drank one hard swig off the bottle, only to have my body kinda  say "no" to me.  The taste on my tonuge is just disgusting and it makes my stomach turn.  I've kinda come to understand that this is my body's way to telling me to stop.  I drank through that a few times and it wasn't worth it.Who needs booze anyway?  I use it very occasionaly but if it was all gone tomorrow, I could care less.

I drink on Saturdays pretty much every week - and usually 1-2 more times a week depending on what is going on.

I think a good question is how many times a week/month/year do you get truly drunk?

I think its actually about 3-4 times a year that I get really lit up. Probably another 3-4 times I get drunk. I usually like 2 or 3 beers and then I just want Diet Coke.

I hardly ever drank until about a year ago. Now I have a beer with dinner, maybe a second one later in the night. And since my wife bought it for me for Christmas, I have a little absinthe every once in a while.So I guess that makes it about 10 drinks per week.Never enough to actually be drunk.
