Welcome New XM Listeners (A Ron & Fez Show Primer)

I cried last night.I tuned onto Free FM(which I haven't listened to in a while) and I heard Ron's voice on the air.When I then heard that Ron and Fez were staying on Free FM I was seroisly in tears.I used to listen to Ron and Fez a lot when they were on WNEW(I still have segements of the show that I recorded on tape).When they left FM radio to go to satellite I was really upset.I'm so glad that they're back on.Ron and Fez are the reason why I am into radio today.Without them I'd probably would have wanted to be a basketball player or an actor.I'm so proud that they are back on FM radio.

Soon after the whole Imus debacle, the station R&F were on decided to drop the talk format. They still have O&A in the mornings, but they dropped all of the other talk talent. The only way to hear R&F now is XM. If you don't want to get XM, keep in mind that you can subscribe to their online feed. I think it's only about 5 bucks, but I could be wrong.

It's not original to ESD or the show, if that's what you're wondering. I remember hearing and using it in the late eighties/early ninties. That and "Psych". Kind of a slightly cooler but still a little douchey version of the "NOT" fad. I hope this helps you sleep better....

This is why Ronnie is the best interviewer I've ever listened to by far. Plus he's still sticking it to him and he has no idea.

Well I just wanna say that I hope in the future I can contribute some worthwhile posts and I stay in good standing with everybody. I am very new and have been listening to the show only since July of '07 so I am new. But I wanna say that listening to those boys and Lilly have sure made my long journeys just a litlle shorter! Yes I am a truck driver and am on the road about 3 weeks out of every month so I listen to Ron and Fez and O and A everyday without fail.

This week after Superbowl 2009,and Fez favors Steelers. I'm not a new XM listener, but I'm new to the boards. Been meaning to register for a while now. I hardly have a chance to catch the live show, so I'm always late to everything, but I've been a huge fan for a couple years. I couldn't find any topic to introduce myself in, so I thought this was the next best thing.

I recently subscribed to XM for O & A. I heard them talking about Ron and Fez a lot so I decided to give them a try. Im sorry to say but I just dont get it. It seems like you have to be a Ron and Fez insider or listner for the last decade to understand any thing about the show. I listened for a few weeks and its seems like they really cater to their existing fans and even have them on the show from time to time. Unfortunately none of them are the least bit funny or interesting. Who ever HTG, baby girl, or the people from brooklyn are, they dont belong on radio. Why would Ron and Fez bring these people on and talk to them like theyre some sort of celebrity? Even the start of the show has some clip from some indie movie dubbed over some obscure indie rock song. Are you supposed to feel cool if you know the movie or song? And East Side Dave, is his complete inability to improv or come up with something amusing supposed to be endearing?

Maybe they have a huge existing audience and dont need additional fans which is great. To me though it seems like this show is the losers and geeks from high school creating their own exclusive club to finally be cool in life. Thanks but its O & A then sports talk radio for me.
