Favorite Ron and Fez Moment of 2006 [Archive]

I haven't seen this posted yet... What was your favorite Ron and Fez moment of 2006? It was a great year for the buddies; with the introduction of ESD as producer, Mr. Perfect's win streak, various shavings, ESD having his coke (soda) stolen by a homeless guy on the N train (ani difranco), the move to free fm, Rapper and Ron sharing stories and shedding some light on Ron's mysterious past, Roberto, the Mikey D drama, Board Gossip, ESD makes love to jelly, Ron's infinite brilliant quotes and lines of the day, the awesome songs (which I listen to and share with everyone) by Perrynoid and Sleeves, the Whackbag/ESD war, Fabreeze Earl, Black Ron Bennington, Turtle vs. ESD, Fez drinking show, ESD dog lover, Fez is homeless, the Ron and Sheepy show and Big AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! just to name a few. My favorite moment was simple and brief.. It was during one of the first Board Gossip's. Dave was talking about the post by FMJeff where he asked if people liked him. In his board gossip voice, he read off the options as follows: A. Yes B. No or C. Pee in my butt. It was one of the funniest things I've ever heard, with brilliant timing and even got a genuine laugh from Ron.Here's to another year of the boys! Thanks so much for another year of great radio. I can honestly say my day would not be half as good without them.

There were allot of great moments this year... but for me... the 2nd ESD power hour was the best!!!  I was driving when it was happening and I had to pull over on the NJ turnpike because I was lauffing so hard.  From when he was singing... to crying... to getting to the 60th shot with everyone cheering him on... it was gold!!!

My favourite moments of '06 were the Big Brother Updates from Indie Mike. Well, either that or one of the following. The Incident on 57th Street with ESD & Lil David BlaineThe pay off from the Elfish - Fez Bet.Paul & Gail O's trials and tribulations.Ron and his fiend from back in the day. was it Rap? Bronx Johnnys "Cute" cockJay Moir calling in the show Lenay D & Jonah BoboBronx Johnny & Pitsy having their shit togetherEast Side Dave in general. Great addition to the showRonny B & The Cow BellFez's weak week. Horrible to hear how low fez was feeling, but ultimately made compelling radio.FebreezeFez's mothers surprise party gets spoiled   If I had to pick one I would go with the Lenay D & Jonah Bobo appearance. Ron & Fez were both on fire that day and to me it just showed how such a good team they both are. Setting each other up in a way that was so awesome. The chemistry between Ron & Fez that day was at it's best.

Also, my sig.. when John Mayer called the show and asked, "Did they tell you this is John Mayer?"

For me it was the 1st time ESD shaved his head.The cries he let out when the Hot sauce hit his head were priceless.Without a doubt the funniest thing I heard this year.

Goddamn. I just love the whole damn show. I can't pick a single moment out of a hat and be happy with it. I need MORE. The best hit is always the last hit you take. Then it's the next one. And the next one. My favorite split second of the show this year came during the Jonah Bobo/Lenay/Gail-O exchange, when Gail is on the phone preaching to the kids and Ron puts on a childish voice and says, very quietly, "Why didn't you carry full term? . . . Abortion?"  So mean, so hilarious, so perfect.

I think it would have to be ESD's confessions about the jelly and the dog. Ron's reaction of disbelief when he heard about the dog was great.Other favorites were the Fez/Elfish trip, the Roberto stuff, and the show with Gail-O telling the kids about life.

I heard another favorite today. WHen they talked about the 80's teen comedies. Then played the end song from 16 candles, Ron seemed so genuinely happy during that segment remembering those dumb (great) movies, really a great segment. Also from today, the Paul O segment where he came out about the affair, one of the great Ron lines of the year was in that segment. Talking about being a surrogate father for his friends "I had to stop after a couple times, the husband said it wasn't working out. I said Why? He said, you're not going to get her pregnant banging her in the ass. I said, are you a Doctor??"Then Paul O freaking out on Big Kev, another great segment
