View Full Version : Am I a Radio Addict?

Your Highness, I humbly request some advice.

I listen to the radio (WNEW) non-stop. From the moment I get out of bed (11am Don and Mike), til I go to sleep (4am Don and Mike). I kinda think that I have a problem, because today I forgot my portable radio when I went to work. Right when I got to work, I had to go to the nearest appliance store and find a radio so I could listen to it for the duration of my shift. I know it sounds odd, but I have done this in the past (I have about 20 or more different radios, hand-held, portable cassette/am-fm, really tiny fm/am radios, boombox radios and even shortwave radios, you name it, I got it - mostly so I can listen to Ron and Fez).

This has been happening ever since I started listening to Ron and Fez in February 2000. I don't know if it is an extremely odd scenario, but I'd like some guidance.

A little bit of history; I lived in the midwest when I was in highschool and after Basketball, soccer, track and golf practice, I would come home and turn on WLS-AM (Chicago) and listen to Steve and Gary religiously (Steve Dahl, Gary Meier - Steve Dahl basically started shock jock radio, although Big Bird would have you believe otherwise).

Am I an addict, or just a really big fan of Ron & Fez and the rest of the WNEW clan?

Take a number Chet. I think we are all on the same boat here.

Radio Addict, possibly. We all are.

WELCOME HOME, brother!

I never liked radio, but since I started listening to Ron and Fez I can't stop either!

This is really freaky - the experience is almost identical!

Thank God, there are people who understand me. Most of my friends think I'm a radio freak. Thanks for your support.

CHET - You, like most of us here, really enjoy listening to the radio.

You have a deep appreciation for the medium and it clearly enriches your life.

Relax and enjoy.

My constant wearing of headphones is destroying my eardrums, but what the hell? I'm just gonna go with it! ;-)

LOL!!!

Very Funny, Noellevious!!! I too sometimes think that I might be developing hearing problems as a result of constant headphone-wearing.
