<p>The best book I have read this past year was Cormack McCarthy's <strong><em>The Road.</em></strong></p><p>I suggest you all read it.&nbsp; It's not long, but it's powerful.&nbsp; Stephen King named it his number 1 too, because it freaked him out so much.&nbsp; </p><p>I just read another top 10 list where <strong><em>The Road</em></strong> was named number one and the author of that list liked to keep it near his desk, but no too close because it scared him so much.</p><p>It's that good.</p>

<p>ill put the road up there as my top pick.&nbsp; had trouble reading more than a few pages at a time, so i dragged it out over a month.&nbsp; greeat great book.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>if you want something apocalyptic but more lighthearted, i recommend stephen king's cell: everyone who answers their phone turns into zombies one day, and a few people try to escape the insanity.&nbsp; definitely enjoyable, and a new take on zombies&nbsp;</p>
