Since you guys decided to use Alkey to publicly assert your Mod muscle? BLACKED OUT It's great to see that all of you publicly can state that post count is unimportant and IT'S JUST A MESSAGEBOARD, and where you think no one is looking,  "Fuck them, they don't even post here." Among other assinine statements.  RF.net is not just post count.  I never stopped posting, or attending events, or participating at all and neither did Alkey.  Do I find it moronic that the moderator of the listening threads didn't know who Alkey or I were?  Yes.  Is it because I'm full of myself?  No.  Both Alkey and I have known since day ONE that our type of posting was not RF.net's style.  We don't take ourselves seriously.  We use the word cunt like a pronoun.  Right now, I'm just speaking for myself however, and I will say, I found it highly amusing that you took three threads posted in the Lounge within a half hour period, and used it as a basis to ban him and denigrate a relationship of over 5 yrs, and completely ignored his apology posted at 12:12 am on Wednesday night to Reilly.I'm not losing friends over this, nor is this a gay ass goodbye thread.  Seriously, I fucking love this board, my BEST friends have been made through here.  Whether or not many of you choose to believe this, Alkey and I are two of the most welcoming self depracating asses on the planet.  Honestly, any emotion we have whatsoever about this situation, stems from the fact that we do care about the people we've met through the years and the fun we've had.Maybe the problem with this board isn't the drama, or the newbs or the vets or the fucking server, maybe it's the complete lack of humor or reading comprehension.  Shit, this whole thing started while we were joking with two ADMINS and repeatedly stating that we didn't want to be mods but somehow it got turned into we were mad at Reilly for being a mod. In conclusion, I'd like to quote a great man and prophet, "Pee in my Butt".

Silera, the only person who is continually making an issue of this is you.  For a person who claims to be above drama, you are certainly creating a shitstorm of it.You claim it's just a messageboard, but you get offended for a week's ban over a situation which was because Pat was drunk.  You admitted as such, but you put the mods in a bad situation - they lift the ban, you undermine board policy that the first ban is for a week, and the mods did you a favor because you're a "veteran poster".  You cannot have it both ways.I even helped your cause by suggesting a "Drunk Tank" mini-ban, which several veterans agreed with and I'm sure that's under consideration.I'm not calling you a whore, I'm not questioning your parenting skills, I'm not getting personal.  I'm just asking why are you rehashing this crap again?  You know that I'm upfront with people.  I made a point of seeking both you and Pat out at the party to say hello, and understood completely why you guys bailed out.But seriously - it's a messageboard ban.  For a week.  If Pat took it, and you didn't make drama about it, everyone would be chuckling about it.  And people ARE chuckling about it, but you're turning it into an issue like he was permabanned.

I thought we were all starting to get past all of this.  I think Alkeygate is something that everyone wants to put behind them.  This place turned into an ugly, ugly day of cathartic spite and anarchy before reaching a somewhat normal level.  Alkey's banning was never meant as a public show of muscle.  There's not an admin or mod on the staff who has ever been "gunning" for Alkey.  The staff here was trying to do their best to apply the rules appropriately.  Unfortnately, when you do that, someone will disagree with how the rules are applied.  When Alkey was banned, there was ahuge groundswell of support for him.  If he wasn't banned or was brought back early, there would have been another group unhappy that the rules weren't applied or that veteran posters were getting favorable treatment.  Now it's over with.  Alkey's ban is over, and we welcome him back with open arms if he decides to return.  Above all else, the actions on our part were never meant to be personal or to attack Alkey or Silera.  If they were taken that way, I apologize.  Also, if any miscommunications on our part added fuel to the fire, I apologize for that as well.  I hope this can be the end of it.  I'm going to lock this up now.  It really isn't our policy to discuss bannings, discipline, etc., (but maybe, given the highly puclic nature of this dispute, it should be kept out).  Also, I'd rather this didn't turn into the ugliest/most glorious thread in the history of rf.net part 2.And how come no one took Silera up on her offer to pee in her butt?
