Dave you need ot update your indie rock tastes to the hear and now. Not from the mid 90's. Hell I loved Pavement and Neutral Milk Hotel when I first bought those records when they actually came out. Your dropping these names like no one has heard of them and they are the super new cool band.

Pick up a New Pornographers cd or at least something from the past two years buddy.

FYI Pavement one of the worst live bands to see. Even when they still had the whacked out drummer during Slanted and Enchanted.

Now I'm off to listen to that new band Mission of Burma

My musical tastes are pretty much stuck in 90s indie rock, I probably need to get with the times. Superchunk, Pavement, Archers of Loaf, Jawbox, Cub, etc are all still on my playlists

staying on top of music is to much effort. i used to be in a record stores 3-5 times a week in college. all my money went to cd's and natty lite. trying to stay current with the indie stuff is to much, thank god for trl.

I'm right there with you missy. It just makes me nuts that Dave drops these names like they just put out a new record or something. Now maybe if Dave could actually book Jeff Magnum then I would not care what the red headed retard does from then on. But the chances of that happening are the same chances will get a Gay Black Jewish president.

I miss the glory days of the mid 90's indie rock for sure. Especially since my record buying is now non existent and going to shows has really dried up for me.

I generally don't seek indie rock advice from a man who believes that W. Axl Rose is a genius.

Different strokes for different folks.

I cant take it when O&A drop U2 like theyre really hip. Dave's one of those guys that believes that his heyday is as good as it gets so he still worships g&r and thinks that the bands he found out about in college are still the only ones worth being into. Its better that he's not into new bands cus then we'd have to hear the same bandwagon jumping sensationalist bullshit we all ready get from the internet. Imagine dave talking about jenny lewis like he does about axl rose, too scary.
