<p>Figure this is the companion thread to Patches "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"</p><p>My mommy worked for over 30 years for Verizon/Bell Atlantic/NJ Bell. She retired a few years and now works where I currently am ((making quick cash over break)). She used to be a cranky stressed out bitch, but she's mellowed out a lot over the years, and she's put up with a LOT from me growing up. Last year she had breast cancer, and is now cancer free. Plus she became a gramma for the first time in June. She's kinda wacky, but she ain't too bad.</p>

<p>My mommy's name is Carole. She's my mom, thats pretty much what she does for a living now since she's retired. She's been sick for a while now but she's independant and is stubborn like a mule. She raised 5 kids with the help of my grandmother. I love my mommy! </p>

Wow, Shelle, are you my sister? My mom was a telephone operator for Bell
Telephone/AT&T for 30 years and still is a cranky, stressed out bitch,
though she too has mellowed a little. Now retired, she fusses about in
her garden and gossips about her neighbors and complains about cats
crapping in her yard. Though she was made a grandma 27 years ago by my
brother, he and his wife live on the west coast so she rarely got to see her
grandchildren. I just made her a grandma this past August, and I live 30
minutes from her so she finally gets to be around a little baby. I finally did
something to make her happy.

<p>My mommy's name is Donna, and she has been a public schoolteacher for twenty years but has specialized in special needs kids for the last decade or so. Bless her, I can barely stand children of normal intelligence. </p><p>When she was raising us, she worked part-time at a furniture refinishing place, and liked telling people she was moonlighting as a stripper.</p><p>This year at Christmas she gave me a necklace and earrings set that is too ugly to regift, and I gave her a GPS system for her car, so I feel like I won something.</p>

my mom is annette. she lives in Staten Island and is a Sargent for the NYPD in the 123 pct. commonly referred to as F-troop or Mayberry. She has been a police officer since she was in her early thirties. When she first got on the job she was stationed in my high school for a month, which sucked since i was up to no good. This week she is considering retiring, but i know she never will. She (with help from my grandmother) raised my sister and I. she was so smart and strong willed. Now she is slowly losing her mind. seriously. she doesnt remember stuff. she repeats things over and over. she cant focus on a subject. Her and my dad were divorced for 20 years and then got back together 3 years ago for no reason at all. they both hate each other, do not sleep with each other, refer to the other as their spouse yet will not remarry. the woman that raised me is not the woman i see today.

My mom is close to sixty. She's a secretary at a public school. She loves traveling to PA a couple of times a month to stay at her newly built home. My mommy is only working so she can pay the bills at her new home.

i forgot to mention my mom is mostly polish and eastern eurpean ((born in jersey tho)) and talks with a thick jersey accent. i never noticed until i started doing voice work how bad it really is. oh and her name is sharon.
<p>The following is a novel about my Mother. :)</p><p>My Mommy is Susan. She is a beautiful woman with a heart of gold, and has determination and spirit like no one in the world. I say that because she had a hard life growing up, I wont get into details, but I feel badly for her when I think of what she went through. </p><p>My Dad got into a car accident when my siblings and I were very small, and this resulted in him being confined to a wheelchair. With 4 small children my Mother traveled from the island to the city to visit my Dad in the hospital and in rehab for a total of about 6 months, with no help from anyone. All of this along with my little sister having cerebral palsey. She then went to work when we were old enough to be on our own, and understand why she was leaving every morning. That was about twenty years ago. She believed that children should have thier Mother there to raise them, mostly because she never really had that. She drives a school bus, but probably could have made a career out of writing. She is so smart and beautiful and has crystal blue eyes you can peer into for miles. </p><p>I love my Mother, and there is nothing she wouldnt do for anyone. She can be a little moddy and nutty at times, but shes allowed, shes the most unbelievable person I have ever met. I think about EVERYTHING she has gone through, and question my loyalty. I dont think I could deal with all that she has; but I am so happy she's around, and stuck it out. It's taken me a long time to realize all of these feelings about my mom. </p><p>To summarize, My Mommy is Susan, and she makes my life complete. </p>

My mom's name was Fedora. Her first language was Russian until she went to American school at the age of 8. She worked as a secretary til she married my dad and then became a housewife (with a few odd jobs here and there). She died in 1977. <span class="post_edited"></span>
