<p><img src="http://www.redorbit.com/modules/imglib/resize.php?Url=/modules/news/upload/fa0706a922928ec9ca430d5a5570bbe1.jpg&amp;resize_type=f ixed&amp;width=250&amp;height=180" border="0" width="288" height="206" /></p><p>That's a Bald Eagle with a fish in its talons.</p><p>It's a shot right out of Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom but it was actually taken in New York City.</p><p>I had no idea there were Bald Eagles around here!</p><p><a href="http://www.redorbit.com/news/science/781914/perched_nyc_hawk_sees_bald_eagle_soar_by/index.html" target="_blank">Pale Male, the famed red-tailed hawk of Central Park, was perched on the 22nd floor of the swank Beresford apartment building on Wednesday when the national emblem of the United States soared past, carrying a large fish in its talons.</a> </p><p>I know it's only nature, but I like the fact that this even this NYC bird seemed to&nbsp;stand at attention when our national bird flew by.</p>

They were just taken off the endangered species list.....I hope to see more of them....when I was up in Maine on vacation....you see them all the time...magnificent bird!!!!!
