I love New Years day. One of the quietest days of the year. The stores are closed. The roads are empty. Everything is so quiet. Its usually overcast like today, so even the sun seems to take the day off. If you go somewhere, maybe somewhere that you've been a million times before, I guarentee you'll see things you've never noticed before.

I dont know about the rest of you, but I'm real busy most days. And my one full day off I have errands to run. So New Years Day is a real treat for me.

ahh shit, where is the damn Tylenol ?!? Head feels like it weighs 200 lbs.Got Diarrhea. And worse, the lovely woman I am married to vomited on my coat. I am just going to sit here a moment and gather my thoughts and ...and... maybe a nap and then some football.

I agree. Today is the best day of the year. No stress Everyone too hung over to remember your phone number. Peace and quiet. [yawn] Time for a nap.

I'm just glad that when the time came for my spouse to hurl, he made it to the bathroom. I spent two hours trying to sleep while he was yelling "SICK...I'm gonna be sick! Uuuugh." Ah, marriage!

Yes, it's a nice day for reflection, eating blackeyed peas and greens, and for thinking if I wasn't so hungover I'd take my Frenchie for a run.
