Well, I just got back from trying to get into the Bar.

Yea, I circled the fucking place for the better part of 45 minutes, no parking. The place was easy as hell to find but the parking around there eats dicks. I went up and down every street for like 6 blocks from the bar and then re-checked.

So sorry, I must have passed that fucking place like 10 times tonight but never got it. Hoboken sucks, I couldn't find a pay lot or garage in that area either.

Moe, you were missed. you should have double parked like other people did. if you went down madison street at first st and saw a black and white truck, that was mine and a ford explorer in front of it, that was my friends that came to hang out.

A great time was had. thank you all for coming. the next one will be soon, and i will try to make it somewhere and see about parking. There were not any pictures taken, sorry. i will work on that for next time also.

Just got in from the bar...surprise, surprise...a great time was had by all.

Parking was absolutely awful like Moe said, but once we got there it was a blast.

It's always a great time hanging with the knuckleheads from this board, and I can't believe it took a Brooklyn boy (Stugots) to finally organize a Jersey bar night.

I really gotta hit the hay, but I'll post more details tomorrow.

I just wanted to thanks Stugots for organizing this night. It was really fun and nice to meet a lot of the board members. Stugots you are the man!

Def a good time, but the parking was horrible. I was about 3/4 to a mile away, and 25 bucks to park!

Sorry all...I really wanted to come. But my duties as a friend and mover made this too long of a day to make it out with everyone.

Next time I will make it. Stu, sorry man. I give you major props for putting together something for the NJites. It is appreciated for even people who do not make it!

Believe it or not, I am pretty shy at first... so come up to ME people... you know what I look like! lol

Thank you to Stu for organizating... and to Furtherman for tending like a champ! Maybe next time we will be able to talk to you a little bit, you busy bartender, you!

did cosmic dancer ever play

Some important observations from last night -

1) Reilly is as adorable, warm, and charming in person as she is on the messageboard and radio

2) Friday is getting sexier every time I see her

3) Marc with a C did in fact bring that hooker again

4) Mikeyboy has become a long-haired, hippie-type pinko fag

5) Radio Shark is as enigmatic as ever, and managed to vanish without a trace

6) Earlshog is a pisser, and has an unbelievably good looking girlfriend. Seriously.

7) AngryMissy drove all the way from Long Island, shaming each and every so-called "man" on this board who didn't come

8) Sheepy left early to attend a "Buffy The Vampire Slayer Sing-Along" whatever that is. It's getting harder and harder to suspend disbelief with that boy

9) JustJon finds Hoboken far more confusing than any computer problem

10) Furtherman is a helluva bartender and an incredibly nice guy. He also looks as Irish as a potato

11) Ralphbxny is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. Loves to laugh, too. I hope he makes it to more events

12) JPMNICK is absolutely nothing like I pictured him, which is a good thing

13) Stugots and Regina are absolutely wonderful people who genuinely enjoy each and everyone's company. If the world had more people like them we'd be a lot better off

I've only had one cup of coffee so far, so I'm sure I've left out some important facts.

More to follow.

I really wish we could have made it last night as I'm in Jersey, but we had other obligations. I'll definitely try to make the new NJ bar night and certainly the LI bar night.

Believe me, my intention was to come in. I don't get in my car to drive down into a congested city to just NOT come in.

And I worked in that general area for years with the carpenter's Union. I wasn't as familiar with that end of Hoboken but when I hear "Hoboken" I usually think 5-10 minutes looking for a spot that always opens up and you're good. Even if you have to walk a few blocks you will find a spot. Last night was very unusual. I guess maybe the cold kept a lot of people who lived there in their homes, then usual out of area people just pushed parking past it's limits? I don't know.

Oh well, there's always next time. I'm starting to think I'm gonna have to make the trek into Manhattan. At least they have paid parking. I was SO ready to throw money at someone last night for parking but I just didn't see any lots that weren't reserved for a housing development. Someone's dropping the ball in Hoboken, there's a market for parking decks.

Moe...there's quite a few parking decks and lots in Hoboken, but most are down by the Path train. Missy actually found one on 2nd only a few blocks away from the bar that I had no idea existed.

I parked in a lot right by the Path and took a $4 cab ride to the bar.

Most definitely worth it.
