So, as documented here, Liz's car blew up. It still drove, but it wasn't long for this world. I think the best favor it could have done was die when it did - end of the month and end of the year, when dealers are hungry to get rid of cars.

So, we first made a decision about what car she wanted. We went to a dealership and they only had a few, but tried to pawn off a demo to us. No thanks.

I went on the internet, and started running searches on what dealerships had the most 2006 leftovers. I found one nearby with 16 left.

I made a call, and he gave me a number. Needless to say, it was significantly below invoice, and below the Edmunds TMV. We had a deal in place.

And so, we are now the proud owners of a 2006 PT Cruiser.

It's a fun car, it's roomy, and Liz likes it alot.

Greetings,

It is an honor to be chosen as Tenbat's and Liz's car. As a brand new 2006 PT Cruiser that has been overlooked by many, it put a smile to my grill when I saw Matt and Liz walk towards my silvery exterior. At first sight, I knew they were "the ones".

I look forward to being driven by the Fridays family. I can't wait until Matt gets his Mustang this summer to make this family complete.

Thank you and good night

I think Silver will always be a good choice, it hides the road grime pretty good.

Congrats on your purchase and good for you on cheap insurance rates.

PT isn't the same as a Neon. Similar platforms, but not the same. Neon is the "PL" Platform, the PT is, well the "PT Platform".

What IS funny is that Jeff and Missy drive the same car - both of them are based off of GM's Delta platform.

Congrats on the new car! I did the same thing last January and picked up a leftover fully loaded PT Cruiser really cheap. The 1st week in January really is the best time of year to buy a car. They're desperate to get rid of them. The only complaint I would have about the Cruiser is the mileage isn't great for a car that size. Other than that I love it.

Nice new wheels TB! I love that car. Silver is an excellent choice for that model, its a classic looking car, and silver is a classic color.

Open the back door, I want to throw some of these in the back for good luck
