I've been pepper sprayed and water is definitely the worst thing you can do to Capsicum-aggravated skinnal tissue. The next shower you take after you get sprayed provides a pleasant reactivation of the chemical, and you have to be careful not to let the shower water stream down to the nether regions. So here's a procedure for anyone who wants to experiment with hot pepper products on their skin:

1.Flush briefly with water and baby shampoo or Tecnu (poison oak stuff)

2.Get in the wind. (Literally, get in the wind or in front of a fan.)

3.Enjoy the various stages of turture:

 a. Burning eyes

 b. Involuntarily shut and burning eyes

 c. Involuntarily shut and burning eyes and burning skin

 d. Swollen and burning eyes and burning skin

 e. Ropy snot strings, burning skin, and burning gravel in the eyes

 f. Slow recovery

 g. Tortuous shower involving all of the above again, and burning genitalia and assal regions
