View Full Version : The Advertisements On The Left

First off, let me say that I have no problem with the admins of this site using ads to offset the costs of maintaining RonFez.Net. I use the link on the left to access MyRadioStore whenever I purchase something there, and I realize the need to generate revenue in order to keep this place running.

My problem is that sometimes they take quite some time to load and slow down the site tremendously. Also, I really don't need to see an elephant taking a shit while I'm sipping my morning coffee. Is there anything that can be done to be a bit more discriminating when it comes to what ads are placed here? And can something be done about the load time?

How great is this for advertisers here!!! Not only do they get adspace but threads dedicated to their ads. You guys should charge them more.

I hadn't seen the elephant ad till now. I'll contact our ad manager about stopping that one.

Fact is, after our December server upgrade, we needed to up our revenue a bit, so we looked into different was to do it. I refuse to run popups or interstitials, so introducing the side banner was the simplest and most efficient.

Ok, second most efficient. Sending Stugots to shake down Gvac every month for server money would have been the most efficient.
