Well he did a great job Building the Yankees... Just to have Torre ride his coattails to 4 WS Titles... Then Builds the Diamondbacks just to have Bob Brennly do the same.... Texas Rangers next??

<p>Love Showalter, love <em>The State</em>, love <em>Stella</em>, love <em>Wet, Hot American Summer</em>, etc., but Sheepy, I'm sorry, <em>The Baxter</em> blew something hard and angry.</p><p>Apparently the 1st season of <em>The State</em> can be downloaded from iTunes or for people's Xboxes, and if there seems to be a demand out there MTV will release it on DVD.</p>

<p>I absotively loved The State, but would rather have it on dvd than a pure digital format.</p><p>I really didn't like Stella, but I really wanted to, and even watched 4-6 episodes.&nbsp; Even had a few friends on one of the episodes.&nbsp;</p>

Jon, try watching it again.&nbsp; I hated the show when it first came out, especially since I loved the shorts they had done before it premiered and the series just seemed like a really watered down version of them.&nbsp; When the DVD came out, I saw it on sale cheap and re-watched the whole thing and something was just different that time around.&nbsp; The 1st episode is easily the weakest by far, but the rest are pure and beautiful insanity.

This is great news. I loved the state and I really enjoyed all of the comedians on it. There used to be a website where you could watch all the episodes, but that got taken down.

The only thing state-related I couldn't stand was Viva Variety. Something about that show made me want to kill people.

I am ashamed to admit that as huge of a state fan as I am, I have never seen WHAS or Baxter. I gotta get on the ball.


And sheeps, the state was out when I was in middle school, you were like in 5th grade. You were WAY ahead of your time (c:
