Do you feel more affectionate or less affectionate with your guy friends than your own boyfriend?

I may be the only person who doesn't know this, but are you a girl or a guy, erinmoran? It doesn't really make a difference, but I just need to know for some reason. Sorry if the question is rude in and of it's self, but I'm a rude guy.

If you're a female who feels more affectionate towards one of your guy friends then your own b/f, shouldn't you be going out with him?

I agree with Noellevious. Although I think there are different levels of affection that you can have for your guy friends. I have lots of guy friends who I'll hug or give them a peck on the cheek, but that's about it - it's very platonic. If you have more intense feelings of affection towards your guy friends than your boyfriend, then maybe you should reconsider why you're with this person.

im equally as affectionate, which has totally hurt alot of bf's in the past.. and since all i have is guy friends it makes it tough on any male that dates me.

i give hugs and stuff to my guy friends..
but when it comes to a guy that i really am into i can actually be shy. but i certainly like to be affectionate more with a bf than a male friend.

I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I am all out of bubblegum.

One can be deeply intimate (platonically) with males and females but a bf/gf relationship has a different level of intimacy.

But as Noellevious so adroitly asked, if you'd rather be more affectionate with a friend than your bf/gf, why not go out with them?

Generally, I'm probably closer and more affectionate with my guy friends then a new boyfriend. that is only because i have known them longer and feel more relaxed around them. Once you have been with someone for a long period of time..either boyfriend or just guy friend you get that 'closeness' with them. I don't think that someone should be more intimate with a guy friend then a boyfriend though. Affection and intimacy are two totally different things.
