Just read this on Drudge. Can't believe they have developed this without a peep from our gov't WTF!!!

By the way, I had an epiphany last evening. Anthony from Oand A claims repeatedly the Chinese are coming. He may be spot-on.

I think the JAPANESE are going to destroy our economy moreso than the Chinese. How many Chinese cars are built by American workers on american soil? None. How many Japaneses cars and trucks? Way too many. When the Japanese closed the Corning Asahi picture tube plant in Pathey did it in less than a month, without prior notice. 550 good jobs[ $6-800 a week]lost and never recovered. Those people lost everything . What if Japan is setting us up? We become dependant on them for jobs, then WHAM! they cripple our economy overnight by simply shutting the doors.

China keeps getting stronger and stronger and we're doing nothing about it. I wish I could talk about exactly how this is happening.

I thought there was a little static on 202 today. We need a forcefield around the XM Satellite.

They have the possibility of taking over everything and are starting to prove it. It's about time the US had some fire on our butts though - maybe we can quit being such slack-asses.

I had a history professor who would always say "The yellow war is coming! There's a BILLION of them!"

But a future threat is real. Right now China is suffering some grave ecological disasters. The main one is flooding. As the glaciers in its mountains melt, it floods the farmlands rendering them usless. This will spread the population out and eventually in order to survive, they will have to move into neighboring countries. That's when the shit will start.

Like whoever knocks us off the hill will have to nuke us first. I'm more under the thought process that our downfall will be economic, not military. Which China is dangerously closing the gap on.

We become dependant on them for jobs, then WHAM! they cripple our economy overnight by simply shutting the doors.

The Japanese still strive for the old Meiji government goals. Bringing prosperity to their people making Japan a major world power is the focus. Modernization and industrialization are the keys. The factories they have in this country are largely here to produce goods for us. It's not generally in their interest to downsize or eliminate the businesses here because they need our workforce and locations to continue making profits from us. I'm not familiar with your example, but it seems more of a reaction to the changing video screen market than an attack on America. It does sound cold and heartless but that's the world we live in and that's business.

I'm personally much more upset with American companies who move to Mexico to save money on operations. We're exploiting the general lawless chaos that is Mexico (aim Mexico rants back at me if you will) to cut corners with environmental regulations and human resources standards. Anyway, that's off point...

Additionally, Japan is one of the most vocal nations against nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. The mayor of Hiroshima sends a letter of protest every time a nation conducts nuclear testing, something that's been going on for about forty years.

I understand that it's impossible to know what's in the long gameplans of these corporations we've grown to depend on, but I don't think this should foster paranoia. If it bothers you just don't buy anything that comes from a Japanese company. Good luck with that.
