If anyone here has shopped at TJMaxx or Marshalls in the past 3 years, watch out.

I shop at both places on a regular basis. Just read in the news that they got hacked and millions of CC numbers were stolen.

I really thought nothing of it, then about 10 minutes later I got a wierd ass call from some online service, who left me a message saying they needed to confirm an online order I placed, because it was flagged as suspicious.

Someone's been trying to charge up Jeff and I's joint credit card all day online for anime shit. Watch your statements

Wow, I don't shop there alot but have been known to purchase a few items at TJmaxx in the past, thankfully not in a few months but thanks for the warning, I'll pass the word! Scarey how easy this can happen, I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate luck and hope it all gets straightened out quickly and painlessly. In a related topic, a couple years ago someone stole my pocketbook at work, right from under my desk. It only took 2 minutes for the bastid to take it, so all, be forewarned. What a hassle that was, I had EVERYTHING in it, wound up having my car towed (only had the car 2 days and the dealership didn't give me a spare key cuz their locksmith was on vac. or some ridiculousness). Soo, needless to say I never keep the purse outta my sight these days.

a little different but somewhat similar

i heard that there's a bunch of fraud going on with the target, walmart, basically any kind of gift cards

what these guys do is while they are standing in line, or the ones that are in the card aisles like in target, they write down the gift card numbers and put them back on the shelf, periodically they check the balance and then someone buys it they use it online before the person who bought it can
