I might be a Newfie, but to be one, you have to be a linguistics expertto simply carry on a conversation with a person that lives only a mileaway. Accents are MANY and varied, but you pick up on subtle modulationeasily in a voice to decipher and then understand it. It is with that said, and great regret that I have to inform you thatMIDNIGHT RIDER *IS* EAST SIDE DAVE. It's not only Dave that got a burned ass over this, it is us, the great listenersof the world who suffer with the biggest burning ass over this FRAUD!!! :) I must go now and get my 82 Camaro off of the cinder blocks in the frontyard and put the snowblower attachment on to dig out from this ass whoopin ofa storm we had last night.  Noel in Newfoundland

I don't have to go to alberta, of all places, I'm retired @32! :) I used to own 50% interest in land rich in uranium.  Acquired it when U308 was$8, its now $72. Phuck Oil, Phuck alberta. That place is as exciting as a box of friggin hair. Actually, more life in a box of hair. Maybe when the Newfies reproduce 5fold Alberta will finally get what the worldcalls "an identity".

Well said. I do look at half the people going to Alberta and realize, like  Australia, a certain class of Newfies always use Alberta as the refuge; from criminals to rejects (virtually unemployable back here). Sadly though, many good people leave along with the bad but would be the first to come back if there was a suitable income stream to catch. Whats left in the Province now are the leaders of the future and the self starters hence our growth as of late. Believe me, our province is better off without a lot of them for the most part until we get our shit together long enough to employ them at home. But they fit in soooo well with the native albertans. Unliked, unloved and hyper egoed. I feel good in that I helped create approx 100 jobs and a good economic spinoff just by making a leap of faith.  Newfoundland was 50 years late joining Canada. Our economy is facing on par growth with the have provinces 50 years ago. We will shine long after your oil is gone. Since oil is cheapening once again, the sands might just yet be stalled. If the price goes up to $100/barrel i'm sorry but even alberta sands will not keep up with the colorado oil shales. Success certainly creates a new class of problems. :)On another note, you might also want to look at the military.If the Newfies left the military it wouldnt be long before we have a draft. Someone's got to be the hare and someone the tortoise. Don't worry, we'll see you at the finish line in the North American UNION!!! But if you thought you were funny or original in posting it you were very wrong.Now you are new here so I'll give a suggestion. Read the threads already on the go, if you cannot see an active thread relating to the subject you wish to 'joke' about... do a search.
