View Full Version : If Face To Face, Would You Kill Bin Laden?
The Blowhard

You have a .44 Magnum in your hand. Would you blow his head off, or would you try to reason with him?
Me? I would "get medieval" on his ass with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch!

A few warning shots to the back of the head would be nice.
Why in the world would anyone allow that murderer to live a second if they had the power to kill him?

HordeKing1, my thoughts exactly.
If I could I would stop all this insanity with a nice "Touch of Death" and end the suffering of all our grieving families I would definitely do it. I would have a cameraman along for the ride so the families could see this bastard take his punishment over and over again on a loop!

Honey

If he believes that death in this life brings him to heaven, where he will be rewarded, then no, I would not kill him. I would prefer to lock him up in a cell with a 24 hour camera feed. Around the clock, and on monitors which would cover the ceiling, four walls and floor, I would surround him with audio and video of beautiful events: baptisms, baby dedications, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, communions and confirmations, birthday parties, high school and college graduations, and weddings. Families buying their very first homes. Summer barbecues, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas and the Fourth of July. Kids playing at recess, U2 concerts, days at the beach, Ron and Fez.
If the best revenge is a life well lived, what about millions and millions of lives well lived? Let's make him watch, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until the day he dies.
If he had a gun in his hand and it was either me or him, of course I would defend myself, but I wouldn't want to be the one to kill him if he was unarmed.
Actually, I would want the families of the dead and missing to get first crack at him.
But like Honey said, death would be too quick and easy. Go to the victim's families of the Oklahoma City Bombing and ask them if they feel vindicated and relieved that Timothy McVeigh is now dead, most of them, I can assure you , would say no.
I did overhear someone say this;
Capture Osama, perform a sex-change operation on him and make him live in the Taliban Controlled Government that he worships - I certainly would choose death over that.

The death of a murderer brings closure and peace to many victim's family
Clone him until everyone who wants has a chance to kill him.
HONEY - Your sentiments are nice, but you're being too rational. Rather than be horrified at the American "decadance" and happy moments in life, he'd view it in the context of his religious fanatascism - a test from God and the infidels will eventually get their comeuppance.
Even if you believe in god, and that man was created in god's image, this animal, through his actions has lost whatever trace of godliness he may have had around him.
He needs to be immediately killed. Preferably via protracted painful torture.

do you really think that making him watch 'nice' footage will do anything ot him? Not make him think about what he's done, maybe bore him to death

Sorry guys. I know that I sound like a total traitor but I side with Honey on this one. Horde King, you're one of my idols on ROn and Fez. You seem to be a very smart, rational and sensitive man. And then you say that we shouldn't be rational. Seriously though, I'm even more of a soft heart than Honey is. Ok, so we can't rehabilitate him. And imprisonment may seem like a test from God to Him. And he may break out of prison anyway. I seriously think that the truth is when push comes to shove it'll be extremely hard for any of you to pull the trigger. It may not be as hard to kill a bad man over a good man but it's hard nonetheless. Dropping a bomb, flying an airplane into a building, shooting from a helicopter....none of these can compare in mental anguish to shooting a man at point blank range. If any of you has ever wanted to kill a man step forward. I'm sure there's a large crowd. Now...if any of those who stepped forward has ever actually killed a man, step foward. I'm sure there's a smaller crowd, if any.You can sign me up as a coward in the face of the enemy. But I speak my heart.

Forget about with a gun, I have been taking Kung Fu for a few years now and would break every single bone in his body before delivering his deathblow...I would enjoy watching his blood run in pools as it drains down the cave which he inhabits...it would enrich the ground with it!!! And the last thing that he would hear is the cracking of his vertebrae one by one!!

You have no idea what it feels like to go to combat right?
Then don't comment on how a man/woman feels when they go...how it is easier to shoot from a helicopter, or drop a bomb...or to take a life...
The soldiers there and here are in harms way...and I guarantee you this ...he would be dead before he even realized I pulled my weapon and fired
BOTTOM LINE
He will not stop, he wants us dead, American, Christian , Jew, black, white, male, female, elderly, infant...
I would pull the trigger and piss on his grave..
May God have mercy on my soul...I WOULD!
YOU have no idea from what I can tell..

It won't be like the good hero in the movie. We won't be like Kirk and make a statement about how we're above this after killing the Lizard Man. There /is/ no way to deal with him- he wants death, torture scenerios are too wacky and the ACLU would be up OUR ass. But whether or not we'd be able to kill him your right, a gun might not be good true...because a knife is far more personal

Rooster, Ikea Boy:
You're both right. I don't know what it's like to go into combat but I know myself. Ok so maybe dropping a bomb may be easier for me. I probably shouldn't have said everyone. But i do know that no one has killed every man that they wanted to. And i do know that in general it is hard for one person to kill another. There are exceptions to the rule. Iguess for you guys Osama's the exception. Well, he's not for me. Soryy if i offended anyone.

JugoDeMisterio - Of course you don't sound like a "traitor," you're expressing your opinion.
Daily I encounter victims of all kinds of terrible things. I'd love to kill the perps, every one of them, who've caused such pain and hurt.
I don't look at it as difficult to kill people like this. I find it unconscionable to live in a society that could suffer such animals to live.
http://members.aol.com/rnfpantera/hking2
Hola, Jugo. You sound like a pretty decent guy for stepping up to the plate and admitting to a rather unpopular opinion. I can respect that.
My question to you is do you think Osama should be killed as long as it's not you doing the killing, or are you saying he should not be killed?
I'm not judging you, just asking for your opinion.

Thanks Gvac. Seriously, I wouldn't like to see Osama killed even if I didn't personally do it. I think punishment is worse than death. We all know that if he is punished it will be for life. Sixty-some-odd years of suffering is a lot more than a few minutes of it. I think that if he's put to death, all of his followers including himself will just percieve him to be a martyr for a just cause. But once again that's just my opinion.
"I'm Nobody, who are you?
Are you nobody too?"
Thanks for clarifying that, Jugo. You're OK in my book, even if I may disagree with you.
By the way, am I correct in my thinking that your screen name translates into "Mystery Juice"?

We shouldn't make a martyr out of him. If distorted slightly, it would be very easy to compare his story with Christ or St. Peter.
There is no easy answer, but we should have him make a taped apology for 9/11 with a gun to his head. This way, if he refuses, we can kill him, if not, he would completely go back on all his principles of staring death in the face.
Don't be surprised if pst mortum we find out he was an atheist who used religion to climb to power. There was a time when we thought Mussolini or Hitler were servants of god.

Sure, Jugo! Several years ago, I decided to set up a seperate bank account to save money for vacations, kind of like a Christmas club. I gave the account and the corresponding e-mail address for on-line banking the name "Gvac". The "G" is for Greg, my first name. The "vac" is for vacation.
"Gvac" has since become an all-purpose internet name for me, while the bank account has long been drained.
