There is but one God, and Ron Bennington is His name. Fez Marie Whatley is His prophet. Black Earl, East Side Dave, Bronx Johhny, and the Midnight Rider are His apostles. The Ron & Fez show is the Holy Scripture.

I've been an avid radio listener since childhood, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I've never heard anything like the Ron and Fez show. For my money it is far and away the greatest radio show ever.

As far as why they aren't more famous,

By far, Ron & Fez are the best thing on radio period. I think their lack of a larger audience speaks volumes about the attention span of the average talk show listener.

Besides, R&F put on a show to entertain. I believe whether R&F where guitar players strumming for loose pocket change on street corner or in a sold out stadium...they would put on the same show with the same energy and dedication to their fans and themselves.

Howard once ruled (love him or hate him), but now his show is all about self promotion and the originality he once brought to radio is gone. Sadly, while I am still a big O&A fan and Jimmy has to be one of the best comics out there, I find that the O&A show seems to be drifting more and more into the self promotion category.

And on a different note...too bad Phil Hendrie has left the airwaves. Having him follow O&A then R&F would have been the XM channel of my dreams...and I would chuck my TV in the trash.

I love listening to the ROn and Fez show I just wish they had more than one replay on XM
there show to me is good because they dont have to say how great they are, they just are. There is a good group dynamic along with great characters, just wish it was longer

Sorry to be the downer, but this question is really odd. Ever? Radio has quite a history & has been used in many forms.

If the question was "Is Ron & Fez the Best Radio Show of the Past 20 Years?", then I'll vote yes. But you have to look at the context that radio has been used in each era to answer that question properly.

Yeah, they are the best thing going. I have been a budding radiophile since I was 12 or 13, when I would get Dr. Laura on the AM radio overnights. I remember being crushed when "Hangin' with Hollywood" stopped playing in my area in the early '90s (I know that was top 40 and not talk) and I still catch Paul Harvey twice a day -- not because I care so much what he has to say but because it's like listenin to your grandpa on the radio.

With all of this radio listening, I have never been addicted to a show like I am to the buddays. I call it addiction because that's what it is. If I know they are on and I am not listening, it feels just like running out of cigarettes. If I miss a day and didn't record it, I have to come here and see what I missed in the listening thread. It's unhealthy really.

Its hard for me to have perspective, as I grew up on Stern, so its hard to tell where he lie in your heart. However, I always say, Ron and Fez, say 2002-2003 WNEW and XM/Free FM(2005-2007) is right there with Stern(1986-1994) as the best radio show ever produced. Which is incredibly high enough praise in my book. But if it was vintage Stern today against Ron and Fez, I think being in my late 20's, I would actually favor Ron and Fez and I think they have a world more pure talent than Stern. Just gifted beyond belief and fun as hell, I think they might just be, because they don't rely on the shock jock crutch that Stern did. Now Stern at his best wasn't over the top shock jock, personally I always liked the news best or long form celeb interviews(Kinnison, Gottfried) while Ron and Fez are so much more versatile.

I'd say they are the best right now, but all time second best only to the Ramone and Frunkis show back in the 80's.

I am torn between if I want the boys to really make it big - it would be great for them but it might spell the end of the show as we know it for us. selfish i know...

I loved Opie and Anthony back on WNEW and never listened to Ron and Fez when they were doing the late show. Now on XM I have to say that Ron and Fez are putting on a better show then OnA. Mainly because its a smarter show instead of going with the same Jimmy lines which are becoming predictable. I actually look forward to the days that Jimmy is away and they bring in a guest comic, Where as Ron and Fez is always a funny show everyday.

Ron and Fez are only Second to Opie and Anthony on WNEW 1999-2002.

I was refering to Ron and Fez on XM are only second to the Opie and Anthony show of WNEW. Meaning the XM Ron&Fez show to me is the best show on the radio right now, But I consider the WNEW Opie and Anthony show is still best of all time.

I remember when the radio show was called Ron&Fez.com. I caught a few shows but it didnt peak my interest like the new XM version of the show.
