The 1989 royal rumble is 18 years old now. That means it's legal. Who won the 1989 royal rumble you ask?

Big John Studd

I've heard plenty of tag teams get mentioned as being great. But the greatest was Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy. I've never seen them lose.

As for the tag team match tonight, a source tells me that Melina interferes.

Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy....greatest tag team ever.

Combined weight over 800 pounds.

This is the 20th Royal Rumble and the first Rumble was won by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. As for tag teams Studd and Bunde were just a freak show. IMO the rockers were no better than the rock n roll express. i hated to watch them then and i still do now. maybe it was the fact that they were pretty boys or high flyers. i dont know, something just irked me about them.

Here's my Top Five, in order, by each of the major North America federation:

WWE (1971-Present)

1. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart)

2. The Legion of Doom (aka The Road Warriors; Hawk & Animal)

3. Edge & Christian

4. The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid)

5. The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika)

NWA (regional territories, 1975-1993)

1. The Road Warriors (aka The Legion of Doom)

2. The Rock N Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson)

3. The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard)

4. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes and Terry Bam Bam Gordy)

5. The Brisco Brothers (Jerry & Jack)

WCW (1991-2001)

1. Harlem Heat (Booker T. & Stevie Ray)

2. The Outsiders (Scott Hall & Kevin Nash)

3. The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner)

4. Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed)

5. The Hollywood Blondes (Steve Austin & Brian Pillman)

ECW (1992-2001)

1. The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray & D-Von)

2. The Eliminators (Perry Saturn & John Kronus)

3. Public Enemy (Flyboy Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge)

4. Rob Van Dam & Sabu

5. The Impact Players (Justin Credible & Lance Storm)

TNA (2002-Present)

1. America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm)

2. The Latin American Exchange (Homicide & Hernandez)

3. A.J. Styles & Christopher Daniels

4. Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Low Ki)

5. The Naturals (Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens)

So the best tag team of all time, would probably be The Road Warriors. They dominated the two top federations in North America.

If you ask me who the most talented (in terms of wrestling skill) was, it'd be The Hart Foundation or Edge & Christian. The British Bulldogs are also considered, but they're like the Sandy Koufax of wrestling...they were dominate, but didn't have longevity.

Back when WWF was on channel 9 at midinght Saturday. Bruno "The Living Legend " Samartino was with up and coming Larry Zybisko. At the end of a match Zybisko "Pearl Harbored" him and smashed his head with a WOODEN chair. I met Zybisko in an airport last year and told him that he scarred me for life. He laughed sat and talked "Wrasling" for over and hour and mailed me an awesome photo with an apology.....SUPER COOL
