I don't know if it was the worst push but WCW really pushed Glacier hard in about '96-97. He had a crazy entrance and got a lot of exposure for a while but I don't think the fans ever caught on to the character.

First of all, Brock did deserve his push. Sure, OVW isnt like the territories of old, but Corny and Danny Davis run a pretty tight ship down there. Brock, Orton, Shelton, and Batista all came up through that system. As far as Cena goes, he's paid his dues also. He trained at the same time as Samoa Joe out in california so dont let his current gimmick fool you. the guy can wrestle, you fickle-fantsy pants just hate his gimmick, but as long as it makes money does it really matter? As far as underserved pushes go the only one that i can currently think of is the Sprit Squad. Here, WWE shoves these guys down our throats for the whole summer and then decide that once that angle is done, they deem them "not ready" and ship them back to OVW. basically telling us that we wasted our time watching and/or getting behind these guys for a whole 6 months. All of those guys are really talented so finding something for them to do shouldnt be that hard. A push can only be called undeserved if both the company and the performer drop the ball and nobody benefits from the push at all.

DDP didn't deserve his push, but he made the most of it and got over like a motherfucker. The guy is not my cup of tea, but he's pure heart and hustle and determination and touch of politics but thats what this "sport" is so I can't take it away from him.

One Man Gang's original WWF push did nothing for me. He was Jerry Blackwell with a mohawk and some head tattoos and he ran roughshod for that first summer in the WWF.

Sid's second push was also harsh, the one after he turned on Michaels. They basically totally buried Razor Ramon to have him job in lighting speed to Nash. Sid could have been a real monster but was killed off too soon in that push and that was pretty much the end of him, despite main eventing a wrestlemania afterwards. He was very much like the Big Show in he had a great build but nothing on the top of it.

i saw DDP the same way. i actually lost some respect for him after reading his book but i have heard (online) some of his inspriational speeches and love them. He did work his ass off and played the game backstage. cant knock him for that, he learned from the best.

The Big Show was pushed too fast and never had the chance to come into his own. plus, the WWE's constant battle with his weight. The guy is a gaint, he has no control over his weight. just back off and turn him loose.

Sid never deserved a push since he would quit every year to go play softball.
