These lights were featured on Make a week or two ago. I think they were more of a viral thing that someone created as opposed to an actual marketing campaign, like the Andre has a posse thing. I thought it was neat when I saw it on there.

JustJon wrote:
I think they were more of a viral thing that someone created as opposed to an actual marketing campaign
WBZ has obtained a statement from Turner Broadcasting:

"The "packages" in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger. They are part of an outdoor marketing campaign in 10 cities in support of Adult Swim's animated television show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. They have been in place for two to three weeks in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Austin, San Francisco and Philadelphia. Parent company Turner Broadcasting is in contact with local and federal enforcement on the exact locations of the billboards. We regret that they mistakenly thought to pose any danger."

And can they stop saying "hoax?!?" There is a big fricking difference between "hoax" and "marketing", even if it is "viral." F**king morons. They'll probably sue ATHF too. What a bunch of wankers.

I just saw the most surreal thing I've ever seen: Shepard Smith trying to explain Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Apparently all the Mooninites do is key cars and everyone worships the Cybernetic Ghost Of Christmas Past From The Future, who is Indian by the way. And everyone lights Carl's furniture on fire for no reason.
