I always have my XM online player going while I surf RF.net. My favourite channels are 44 Fred, 43 XMU, 54 Lucy. I also flip to 52 The Verge to hear some new music every once in a while. I love 42 XMLM but I listen to it more in the car or boat.

I just want to know what everybody else listens to on XM other than 202. What are your favourite channels on the XM dial?

Other than R&F, The Rhyme (old school rap) is my favorite. But I jump around a lot.

I find myself listening almost exclusively to 202 now. Before, when I had more time to listen and drove more, I would mix in ESPN 140, Fox Sports 142, BBC 131 and Fred, Ethel, Lucy, Fungus, whatever station has a song I like while driving around.

Just like when I watch TV, I flip around like a lunatic.

I always check the decades channels, (5 thru 9) and the country/folk/bluegrass channels (10 thru 17) first.

Then I'll hit the 20's, then the rock stations (40 - 54)

I love listening to "Open Ice" on 204 where they talk hockey all day.

I'll hit up the comedy stations in the 150's when I need a chuckle or two.

Fungus (punk rock), Bluesville, Bluegrass Junction, X Country (Americana) and
Soul Street for music; NHL channels when there's a game not on TV; and America
Right 166 for Dr. Laura.

I used to flip but recently I never leave 202. When I do flip I go to the funk channel I think it's 70 or 76, the bluegrass channel which is 12 I think, and some of the rock ones.

Anybody ever checkout "Kingdom of Swine" on Fungus 53? It's on Sunday nights,9-12. It is all industrial and if you are into that style of music you should check it out next Sun. night. I try to listen or record every week.

I love Fred 44, they just played a Tones on Tail song that was trippy and they followed it up with "Transmission" by Joy Division. Sweet. Now some Thompson Twins, not my favs.

Hey Piss, good call on that Kingdom of Swine show. I didn't know about it, and I've always wondered where the industrial music is on XM.

I lilsten to:

42 XMLM

65 TheRhyme

?? Sonic Theatre and Radio Classics. When I was twelve, we lived in a cabin an hour from society, in between "real" homes. All we had was battery powered radio. KCBS would play old Radio Dramas every single night. This is where my neurosis of needing to listen to audio every waking and sleeping moment comes from. I actually got XM mainly for these channels, then I discovered 202.

The screen on my SkyfiII is shot and I can't read the channel numbers anymore, but one of the talk channels has a 3 hour show called "Gun Talk" on Sundays at 2-5 P.M. Pacific. It's definitely a red-state show, but I'll throw it a listen now and again.

My favorite drama back in the day was Mystery Theatre, but they don't play that on Radio Classics. It was a horror/mystery show.

I'd love to see an Industrial channel, too. I've become pretty unimpressed with XM's music channels lately. It seems like the formula is too just play singles. I love a good Pantera song now and again, but it shouldn't be goddamn Cowboys From Hell every time. Gimme a Shattered, Mouth For War, or a Slaughtered. It'd be nice to just hear some non-playlisted shit. Sometimes, it seems like XMLM will run the same playlist every day, with Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, etc. XM has turned out to be about as Indie as Earl.

90's -- guilty pleasure, but its the music of my youth

X-Country : great roots mix

Willies Place: Recommended above

Deep Tracks: Probably the best reason besides Ron and Fez to have satalite. I thought I knew classic rock but they will play awesome stuff for hours on end you never heard of, but if you liked terrestial classic rock, you'll dig it.

The Boneyard: Mostly for Eddie Trunk's Monday Night Show

Lucy/Ethel: Awful names but great stations

Soul Street: Great 60's R and B, a nice makeout station

Bluesville: Programmed AMAZINGLY

The Joint: Reggae and lots of different variety, ranging from dancehouse to poppier stuff

MLB on XM: Can't miss during the season for constant moniotring of all games.
