Ronnie has spoken about vegetarianism on several occasions, noting that he's read the majority of the celebrated geniuses in our history have been vegetarians. He always adds that it's simply not an option for him, however.

Since he's brought it up on more than one occasion I can't narrow it down to whatever show you're looking for, Sleeves.

Sorry.

From time to time I enjoy challenging myself in one way or another, and I'll do something for a one month duration that I normally wouldn't.

I've given up smoking, drinking, and even playing my guitar. It's kind of a test of will, and I always say someone should be able to do just about anything for 30 days. I guess it's my version of Lent.

I've been tossing around the idea of trying vegetarianism for a while now, but I really don't think I could do it. I'm a total carnivore. My taste buds are also that of a small child, and there really aren't too many veggies that I'm fond of. I enjoy a salad, and I'll eat peas, carrots, and green beans, but that's about it. I find broccoli, asparagus, spinach, and pretty much any other green leafy vegetable to be akin to grazing in the grass. It tastes absolutely awful to me.

The idea of thirty days without a burger, a steak, or chicken is downright frightening to me.

Even I had to laugh at that.

I don't eat pork but I'm not a vegetarian. The only reason I don't eat pig is well could you eat cat or dog while 'Rover' salivates in the corner for you to throw him a bone? It's just a personal decision that I made this year. I don't nor will I ever begrudge anyone who chooses to eat pig, cow or any other kind of meat.

Someday I'd like to try to give up meat completely but I do crave a burger every so often. My taste buds are conditioned to like meat so I suppose I can uncondition them to if I really tried. Giving up pork wasn't difficult for me at all. I've never been a big meat easter, especially pork. I've always loved vegetables, salads, and lentils.

I was a vegetarian for a couple years - tho I didn't have a good reason. Just kind of experimental. I was bored I think and trying to quit being an alky...

Then one day my wife ordered ribs at this very nice restaurant.

The place was really dark and there were candles on the tables and the candle light was reflecting off the sauce covered ribs...

My soft little lettuce fingers snuck across her plate...

I've been eating ribs almost constantly ever since.
