i thought she did well. she was very confident about herself and some people might take it as "cocky"...i wouldn't say she was funny and i felt at times Anthony was trying a bit too hard. he has a habit of repeating what a person just said. I love Anthony's humor i just think he was dealing with the Almighty Ronnie BIMHO

You know, Opie shows up for the Christmas party. They bring along Fez for the Homeless shopping spree (which gets national attention) Anthony shows up for the Bar 9 party last friday,  too many AFRO shows to mention. O&A dont do this for any other show. Then they catch shit from peeps on our board every time. I'll have none of it!  None of it I tell you!   BTW- I thought the same thing, but I not going to post it . . . . .ooops!  Seriously, you cant have a better friend of the show than O&A. Cut them some slack.

I heard the end of the show on Friday and was disappointed.Every portion of shows I've had had the fortune of catching since they've been on 92.3 was dynamite with the exception of that one.While the part about him giving the wrong directions ( 53rd and 53rd ) was funny I didnt care for the rest of it.I know it's always looked down on here when you bash O&A ( and that I still don't understand ) but I just do not find either one of them even remoyely funny or entertaining.Now I have to hear his g/f yap on about nonsense ?Listen she may be the nicest person in the world and may cure cancer some day but until she does please leave her off the radio.It's for the same reason that I loathe Stern at times when he talks about how he programs his show around when/if his horsefaced g/f is listening.Yeah he's such an edgy radio personality he's now gotta make sure he doesnt upset her on her way to doing an ad for PC Richards.

Does it make a difference?? The "I have a bigger postcount than you so it doesn't matter what you say newb" ideology will in effect scare away new posters from posting or be "attacked" cuz they don't have a huge post count if they state something that goes against the norm or people that have drunk the kool-aid. Moe kinda agreed with the poster to the extent that he didn't mind her being on the show but "it wasn't for him" kinda thing and wouldn't be able to tolerate extended frequency of her vocabalary. And since she opened her mouth on the public air, it kinda makes herself open to criticism don't you think? Me, I think she did pretty good for someone that doesn't go on mic regularly and tried to fit in with what was going on (like when friends show up at your house, the only difference was everyone here were on mic and we were able to listen like we were there).

Believe me I love seeing new people on the board. Hell I'm basically a new member here. I just think newbies, if you will, just jump right out of the gate with their bashing. They don't want to be here for the long hall. They want someone to complain to and we have to deal with the aftermath. If you don't like something I think there are tactful ways to express that. You don't have to start a thread just to bash someone that might never be on the air again. It was a crazy Friday, it was different, I liked it. If you didn't guess what? The kind of shows that they did on Friday are some of my favorites. When friends show up and get into the mix it just always seems comfortable to me. For this mix I thought Melinda worked well, the subject of ESD's girlfriend and the situation he's in actually kind of called for just such talk. It was cool too the way they showed up in the afternoon, having gotten barraged by text messages, and coming in to see what had happened. It's not like she's a regular, and I got some good laughs, and really enjoyed the whole six hours. I'm pretty sure that this thread will increase Ronnie's opinion that we have become The He-Man Woman Haters Club.

I haven't read the entire 5 pages of posts on this but I must disagree with the original poster's opinion that Anthony's girlfriend wasn't good on the radio Friday.  Friday's radio was some of the best the buddies have ever done and she was a important part of the supporting cast-not only did she understand the flow of the show and appeared to be a fan but she was an integral part of the storyline of the day (she and Ant took Dave out for drinks).  I also really enjoyed how entertained Ant seemed to be by Dave.  Seemed like he was having a ton of fun and it was infectious!!!

I think the support for his chick is well intentioned, but she was almost completely brutal, and embarassingly amateurish.  Which I don't mind and don't hold against her, but for the fact that the Friday shows should have been some of the all-time classic ones, and are probably the most compelling ones since the WNEW days as far as watching drama unfold.  I'm of course ommiting the grim reality of the post-heart attack shows, but this was the best fun trainwreck radio in forever.  And his shrill chick was totally stepping all-over classic moments.  I did listen to both replays today, and I'll actually say the Free FM show was better than the XM show, because she was really intrusive there.  She did steer Dave into going out, but we could have easily gotten to that result with Anthony steering the show.  As far as douche chills though, I'll say Anthony gave me the most of all.  Some awful lines, and we all dig the cringe humor, his stuff was out of place in the tone of the discussion.  He didn't bomb, but I think he was more like the Willie Mays that played on the Mets on the Friday XM show.

I thought Ant's chick was great on Friday.  She added that extra edge, driving ESD insane...As for her voice, her looks, her age, etc...isn't that Anthony's problem?

Anthony's girlfriend did a great job on both shows on Friday.  I found her very very funny.  It was refreshing to hear a female who is actually entertaining on the radio (opposite of Frenchy, HTG, etc...).  She has a great sense of humor and you could tell she was having a great time.  Ron brought it up today how great she was...unless you're saying he's a liar.  He didn't have to bring it up.

I finally got to listen to the show (thank you Mikeyboy for posting it) and anyone who has a problem is obviously extremely jealous and hates the fact that they don't have a girl as cool as Melinda.   Morons.
